The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Wow I never knew they made a fastback hard top for the Miata! That looks sweet! Reminds me of the Spoon hard top S2K.

Custom stuff. There is a guy on the west coast that builds them from scratch. Mazda made one prototype of the NA (I have a pic on Flickr of it but can't access it), and there are a couple people in JDM-land who make them. Not factory pieces, unfortunately.

;)

It was a 1996 "M" coupe.

It's hideously ugly btw. Mazda made a couple others supposedly, but the yellow car is the most popular.

This year has been such a ******* roller coaster... things took a real s*** a few weeks ago, but I've been getting some good news lately. I can finally say I'm no longer pressed to sell the cars, but it would still help. MSP will be for sale a while longer if someone is interested, if it doesn't sell then I have plans to make it streetable so I can enjoy it more. There are other things in the works, we'll see what the future holds.

I'm glad to see some things are improving for you.

Thats some great news. Hopefully everything works itself out!

the AutoKonexion fastback kit makes the car look pretty badass...

This looks MUCH better....

Than this...

im the other way around, if i were going to have a "fixed" hardtop on a miata id rather have the fastback than the OEM designed coupe

but i dont have a miata and i dont have 2300 bucks to drop on a fastback roof so none of that matters lol

I am with you on that one. The red looks much better than that odd shaped wrap around rear window on the yellow one.

I'll cast my vote for the yellow one. The red on looks like something Enzo built as a joke.

I'll take the regular bolt on hardtop over the ugly coupe or fastback options any day...

The yellow one just looks like an FD.

I bought my car(s) because they were convertibles, I absolutely loathe driving with the top up. :/

i would rather have the OEM over the coupe or fastback as well, if i were wanting a hard top...
but to me, if i buy a miata its for one purpose and thats top down, enjoying the weather haha

and i wasnt counting the OEM hardtop when i said "fixed" roof cause its relatively easily removed compared to the fastback which would likely be a GIANT PITA to take off the car, plus fitting the stock bootlid back on etc, and well the coupe is self explanatory on that one haha

I agree, I'm glad they never made a coupe version of the Miata.

I think they all look good, the yellow one, the red one and a regular OEM hardtop. Still don't know how anyone could fit in there with a helmet on though... haha
