The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'll be working some OT, hopefully get the post-inspection part of the house stuff done with the sellers

^ I read all that and all I got was that you must be a hell of a driver lol.

No, far from it . I just have been driving the same car for about 10yrs and know the car.
I was trying to say that Hawk hp + pads didn't last the session on light car so they probably won't hold up on a heavier car. I only had fade problems at Mid Ohio and have never had brake problems at Nelson Ledges with the hp + pads

Nelson Ledges is really easy on brakes. There isn't a true hard braking zone there compared to Mid-Ohio where there is 1 (or 2-3 depending on HP and the course configuration).

I bid to a new position at work, and started this week. Smart move on my part. Same pay, less work. Working tomorrow making it my second 6 day work week in a row. Dolla, dolla bills yo. So far no scheduled overtime for next month, except working Memorial day which is cool with me since I get time and a half for working the holiday and 8 hours pay for the holiday.

I didnt have fade issues with the 3 @ Mid Ohio, only puched it hard the last day when it was dry but still, 2 hot sessions with no issues.

i-Moto is working on our MS3, installing SS Brakelins on our MS3 . Now that is service pics to follow

Marc being all modest and s***... haha

Marlon, is i-Moto local? I can't find much on their website, looks like their based out of NC? I see they have used Conti's for sale if anyone is interested for $30 a piece, size 225/45-17.

I'm looking at getting an alignment pretty soon. Where does everyone go for alignments? Firestone has that unlimited alignment thing, anyone do that? I need to make sure the place I go has a low enough lift. Last time I got my alignment done at NTB (only because I had a coupon for a free alignment). The first NTB I went to by my house couldn't get my car on the lift. I had to go to the NTB in Stow because they had a newer lift that was lower. Even that place had to use a bunch of wood boards to avoid scraping my front bumper.

Everyone is going to recommend Conrad's (I think). I do the lifetime alignment at Firestone. I've had 4 cars with it... Lol

Edit. I used my lifetime alignment on the smart once . Ooooooh now I'm salty.

Jess, do they actually honor your lifetime alignment with lowered cars?

Like she said, Conrads in Akron has been great to me and the P5's. Big Lou doesn't mind custom specs and does a great job and takes his time doing it right. Wear your "I'm with Marlon" t-shirt and you might get a discount.

Mmmmm ok, Marc if you go to Mid-O I'd like to ride with you! And Will, you too lol!

Sounds good to me! (2thumbs)

I when to White Wheel in Cleveland with the Speed3 and they did an OK job. It would've been better if I had camber plates. But they dialed it in to exactly what I wanted with ballast in the car. Cost me $95 though :(

Never had any issues with the neon and it was lowered. Same with the 90 white miata, and it was pretty much slammed.

I actually had the manager tell me one time "hey, you paid for the lifetime alignment, we'll align it as many times as you want"

Lol

Wow, I'm kinda shocked. I'll have to check into them. How was your spec sheet after the alignment?

well the one on Romig closed and the guys got moved around. I heard the guy I always had do mine went to canton but I've yet to go down there. You have to make sure to tell them that even if they can't get it with in spec, to try and get each side close to the other, otherwise as long as its in the green it's good. I'd rather have toe matching left-right "out of spec" on one end of the car rather than one side in the green and the other out of spec. But that's just me.

I usually schedule early morning alignments so they aren't super busy but it seems the chapel hill location is busy no matter compared to romig, seemed like no one even rolled in until 10 lol....

I would hope that i-Moto is at Road Atlanta right now with the rest of the Grand-Am folks. :) The CTSCC and Rolex series races are both tomorrow.

We will be getting there old RPF-1's at Mid Ohio and some of the tires too.
We have asked that they make a deal on the tires to our members at Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen
