Oh man, I was in a jam band for 3 years. Great guys and musicians but I HATE PHIL LESH! That dude has no groove and is as white as can be.

Just when I thought we were getting along too. Screw you, MonkeyAss! haha

You can see the problem with the concept in the figure above. If this is how the tires are when the car is static, picture both tires rotating 3 degrees to the outside. The camber tire provides more contact when rolling straight than a regular tire with camber, but when the body rolls and suspension sets, it is up on the outside edge just like a regular tire on a car with no camber. Camber is only used so that when the body rotates and the suspension sets, causing the tire to rotate outward, the tire will be close to flat. If both tires were run on a car with -2 degrees of camber, the normal tire would be faster in the corners. If both were run on a car with no camber, the camber tire would wear the outside edge like nobody's business and would roll onto the sidewall in corners. I know a guy who tried them at the track and they were awful.

i just said you share an uncanny similarity in the looks department with him hahaha

you shut your ***** mouth hahaha

an article from Automobile on the same tires
http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/1004_scotts_camber_tires/viewall.html

a bit more accurately explains, in the measurables the cambered tire performs pretty much exactly like the OE Yokohama Advans did.. the cambered R-comps did noticeably better (shocker right?!?!)

Exactly. They ran -1 degree camber on the oe tires and ran -3 camber on the camber tires, resulting in the exact same alignment. He has the wrong marketing strategy, he should be selling them as street tires with better wear for guys with a lot of camber. Run your performance tires at the track and put these on to compensate for the camber.

That makes a lot of sense.

It could also be for the hella flush people that want to slam their car, run -5000 camber, and not wear out the edge of their tire as quickly lol!

Effin THIS.

The biggest problem with them, and this is a biggie, is that they're vapor-ware.

Getting in touch with my inner redneck right now. Watching Sprint Cup qualifying at Bristol, getting ready for my annual pilgrimage to the World's Fastest Half Mile. I know... most of you guys don't like it, and that's fine... but you have to admit that it's pretty impressive that a bunch of dumb rednecks can make an Amurrrrican V8 turn 9500+ rpm for 3+ hours straight. Add in the fact that the cars are closer together and more susceptible to wind turbulence, and you have one helluva entertaining race to watch.

I don't have a problem with NASCAR. I just don't like to watch it. ;)
