aftermarket clutch and flywheel put you into DSP. Now you start getting into the "what *can't* you do" realm of the rulebook

Check out section 14 of the SCCA solo rules, if it says you can do it, you can, otherwise you can't. I don't believe a lightweight flywheel or aftermarket clutch is allowed in the ST classes.

Is his still under warranty after the engine stuff?

He's still under his factory extended warranty, but he's in the same boat mentally as he was when he spun that bearing. Worrying about; are they gonna cover it? They know he's modded and beats on it, did he already use up his "get out of jail free card" by them fighting for a new motor for him? What if they rebuild? Can he trust the work? What's he to do if they don't cover it??

Total mind **** until they get it in and diagnose.

Since my car still isn't running I ran my buddies stock 6 in SM 2 weeks ago and this Sunday at the TEA event I'll be running in my friends AWD DSM with ALOT of power. He has it built right and it pulls like a rocket. Should be interesting since I've never raced or even drove a AWD car. WOOHOO!

I would only run one or two events a year with you guys just for fun. I don't care about points, I just want to have a blast.

I will probably end up running my FC in modified after I build it up, and that should be a complete blast.

Saw Miguel last night at the Parma Sonic. Nice cars showed up, similar to Superfly but not a ricey. Every Wednesday night from 8-10 on Snow Rd. There us a Baskins and Robbins there too

He just texted me that the truck acted totally fine on the way to the dealer just now!

I kind of feel the same way though, that it may be time to move on. After this though, really....what else is there that can go wrong? LOL He has a new motor in it, and it'll have a fresh tranny now too, which he's always known the day would come, since that's the weak point in the truck. The motor was just a "freak occurrence" that could've happened to anyone, though, I still maintain that he did it with his cold startup romps...

They still need to get it in over next winter and tear the motor down again, to see what that new noise is!!! That thing's gonna be molested seven ways from Sunday after all that....

And yea, he's already mentioned a Speed3 again. haha

lol. I have news for you--I hit the ramps as hard as possible already if there's no one in front of me! I don't think I can go any faster than I did the other day.

And as far as rolling it, I'm wondering if it will spin before rolling. Or spin while rolling? Like a little top lol. I think.... It would mess up whichever side it falls on, take off the mirror and scuff the tridion cell.... But other than road rash, as long as it just tips and doesn't do a barrel roll, it would definitely be driveable lol.
