The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

All of wires are disconnected. Just need to get a levelerforthe hoist and a axle nut socket. Hopefully tonight I'll get a chance to peek inside. April looked up the time to do a simple rebuild on the car and to pull the drivetrain. Close to 20 hrs of labor and $2000. Hopefully I get no where close to that.

Also sound out that the guy I bought it off of said id had AWR front and rear motor mounts. Nope, just the front. I wish I had all the money right now just to do the job right instead of just fixing one thing, putting it all back together, then taking it all apart again later. Oh well not much I can do about it right now.

Sorry if i was bothering with questions. Just wanted to know what u thought would be better. Ill stop posting in this thread.

No, man. I didn't mean it to sound harsh. I just mean we can all help you out in a build thread that is specific to your car. It makes everything just so much easier. And for those of us that have been around a while we hear the "CAI or SAI, which is better?" post on a daily basis. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything and I'll help you out. But build threads are the way to go for specific questions. Corey should finally make one too. ;)

What build? Mine would be more of a tear town and fix the first owners s*** thread :) I might just start one. Maybe...

Leyland if your car is NA go with a CAI unless you're worried about sucking up water. I had a AEM CAI on my car until I went with a FMIC setup and if you have the filter like I had in the front behind the fog delete you'll suck up all the "good stuff" that the driver in front of you spits at you. Sure most aftermarket filters are cleanable, but they will become destroyed and you"ll have to buy a new one every year. Now that I have a FMIC I just took off the second pipe that leads down to the bumper and made it a SRI since the FMIC is making the air temps cold and not the filter position itself. Or you could just make your own with some intercooler piping and save yourself some $$$.

get to work!
I have to watch the kids right now until April gets home from work. Then I'll be off to work on the MSP. For now I just surf the internet for parts or ideas on what could be wrong with it.

my pops thinks its a bearing. but i went to the cars and coffee on central this morning. 458 italia was there, along with a bunch of other sick cars. too bad you couldnt make it. my car was actually getting a lot of attention

I use to go, but I don't ***** my car around for attention :) The MSP doesn't really fit in there. If it isjust the a bearing do I just drop the bottom end out and replace them or do I have to replace the crank as well?

IT"S ALIVE! Got the new fuel pump in and she cranked right up. Honestly not as loud as I remember but still going to switch back to stock mounts with the corksport f&r inserts to see it that will decrease the sound enough. I'd hate to go back to stock exhaust, I love the way it sounds.
