The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

How'd you bend the frame back? Tie it to a tree and tie the frame to a truck and have the truck drive a bit? lol. I fixed a utility trailer that way, but a car frame is a bit different.

that was the original plan, but i took a pipe and a mini sledge and beat the **** out of it. now i have space between the belt and the frame.

that doesn't sound safe to me

what do you expect a broke ass kid to do, take my car to a shop and have them bend it back for me? no. i dont have that time or money. this was just like spitting in the ocean really...

I have spit in the ocean and it seams pretty easy, but I understand. Being broke, in college, and having no real jobs sucks when it comes to cars. I've been there and done that. The only difference now is that I have a decent plan B full time job.

isn't that what insurance is for?

anywho, all you guys with smart phones, what are good features I should look for? what makes a smart phone better than any of the other smart phones? My phone turns 9 in april so I'm thinking it might be a good time to upgrade plus I could take tons of pics of the baby and send them to family and what not. any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I will have verizon also

Just thought I would post that we started a stickied NWOR SCCA thread with the official date of Aug. 26th. Sign up or chime in for a mazda meet/autoX weekend :)

my insurance is there to take my money. i dont really care about alll this too much, ive given up on trying to make my car as clean as any of yours, so im just gonna have a blast in it either way. im gonna try to pick up a beater as soon as i can so i can drive this on the street just in the summer and just track it otherwise.

first thing you need to know, unless you're a guy who does a lot of messaging (especially for business)

STAY AWAY FROM BLACKBERRYS!, I really hate those fuckers...

I have a MAC at home, but I'm very happy with my Android phone. I haven't had a digital camera in a while because the phone is so handy. If you have Verizon, I would recommend the Galaxy Nexus, that phone is amazing. If it's out of your price range, just look for the phone that has the highest RAM. If your smartphone runs out of RAM it will be just like an old computer, it will run really slow, and it will drive you crazy (I'm an IT guy so I like my things to go fast). The iPhone is nice, but you will be limited to the phone's memory as you can't add an SD card (Android you can), and if you're not an Apple person then you might not like it. Windows Phone, meh, Nokias are the best in that regard, second would be HTC but again, they don't allow SD cards and the OS is a bit weird for my taste. Both Android and Apple have big markets for the apps, and it it helps your decision, visit this page for the new version of the dashhawk

I have several devices at work for each brand and I deal with the on a daily basis, so that's my .02

****** got lots of snow and me and my friend were driving around and i hit a small concrete barrier at about 10 mph or just a bit less. broke pass fog, bent frame, broke headlight, small tear and lots of missing paint in bumper. got most of it fixed though the fram is still bent in the very front. doesnt screw with my alignment. had to fix the way the hood fight, ordered new lights, and a voltage clamp. the car is still drivable and i bent back the frame enough to avoid hitting the belt for ps and the sc. i am spraying the bumper right now. honestly, whatever. im still trying to find a beater so i can keep this to the track, and for summer driving.

The front 1/4 of my P5 is a DX. I sawzalled the crunched and bent part off and then went to a junk yard and sawzalled in the same spot so I could bring it home and welded it right on in there. Worked out great! No major body panel problems too!
