The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

interesting. i think my car would look better if my wheels were out a little more or more "flush" but since i don't have money and can't find a decent set of ms3 wheels for almost no money i can only dream

^You can try wheel spacers. You can fit 5mm spacers with oem studs, or get spacers w/ studs built in that bolt onto your existing hub/studs.

I've thought about but i'd rather spend money on other things right now

Heh... and I was considering going with a few mm of spacer on the MSM just to go wider tires. I fail at that trend.

putting the beefiest tire is the opposite from the hellaflush article

O tru, lol.

I went a bit overboard w/ 15mm spacers, but I can fit 225/45 in the front wheel well with ease. ;) The rear is a bit cramped, and I will probly go back down to a 205 in the rear, next spring when I buy 2 new tires.

I think I can get 235 in there easy too. 245 would be pushing it, but maybe if I went down to a 35 sidewall...

You can safely run 215's in the rear. I wouldn't sacrifice too much tire width, especially if you're planning to run staggered sizes like that.

I have 215/45 at all 4 corners right now. I have 2 new wheels with 225/45 rubbers mounted that I need to paint so I can put them on the front. And I'm going to decrease the camber (just barely) in the back to cut down on the rubs. Because with 1-2 ppl in the backseat, I rub pretty badly, lol. If it still rubs I will move back down to 205, tho. More grip on the front decreases under-steer anwways.

Or I could just stick with 215 anyways and just not let ppl ride in the backseat like I do right now. (hi)

There's a 125lb weight limit to sit in my backseat. (rofl2)

Stephen did you use both a Duplicolor Wheel Coating Spray color and a clear? How many cans of each?

I am sooooo doing this, got a buddy and my dad home tommorrow to help me sand--Thursday shoot with paint, Friday/Saturday clear---you'll see em Sunday at Superfly! At least that is the plan

We're out for Sunday, we'll be at Lime Rock Park for the Grand-Am races and hosting a cook out with the guys and gals of NEPOC for the Mazda teams.

Ah, thats right...that sounds like fun! the nepoc group seems pretty laid back and enthusiatic like the smaller group of ohio guys.

James, I used 3 cans of paint and 2 cans of clear. I couldn't find the duplicolor wheel clear coat, so i used Rustoleum wheel clear coat. Either way, they do the same job.

I was just about to get a bowl of ice cream, but you guys ruined my appetite. Thanks.
