The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I laugh at that too... but then I remember that I need my mid-day nap or I crash earlier than Evan. Stupid freaking narcolepsy.

I am not sure which one I like better, the late-mid morning nap or the late-mid afternoon nap. So I do both. Old guys winning? No!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I had a sensor that was held to my strut bar with a zip-tie fall into the throttle mechanism and lock it at full thorttle coming down madness. I stomped on the brakes first, then pushed the clutch in to let the car slow and turned it off as soon as I could. No damage, thankfully and I now have TWO zipties on it.
I think the honk was "why are you going so slow at the apex A-hole"

2 zip tires :D I like that fix!

When I see someone going that slow I usually assume that it isn't on purpose. I would assume that there were probably yellow/white flags out there as well. (shrug)

I don't think the honking was anything more than a fleeting frustration or maybe a warning to me that he was coming. The guy was cool so I wouldn't read much into it.

Ah that makes sense. That was a smart place to pull off the track too btw.

^ times like this im so damn happy i have a timing chain... :D

this is the other thing, Montrose service has gone to s***. When I called them up to get the quote, the service guy (maybe the manager??) asked a tech how long it would take, the tech proceeds to say the MSM has a timing chain, the guy wouldn't believe me it's a belt so I had to talk to parts to get the evidence... yeah

I stopped going to the Mazda dealership closest to me for anything a long time ago. Poor service at best.

Every since Sandy left Montrose, they've gone down hill service wise. If you guys arfe going to start building your cars, especially for track and auto-x, you should sign up with Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development. It will save you a lot of money! I just got a new water pump for the MSP $67.00, normally it would have been $113.00, every little bit helps.

Ihave already complained about the service department, so you guys should do the same.

well i always have good things to say about Park Mazda down here in Wooster!

they help you out a lot, especially if you buy a car from them...eh hem, ...Pablo! lol

I purchased all of my Mazdas from Park, they have a great tech in Mark, but they are not what they used to be...as they used to be very mod friendly, now they're not.

I'm not driving to woostah for service, and I'm certainly not having a stealer do the timing belt... do you have any idea how much stuff I can get for her with that money?

Hi, I'm Pablo and I have a modding problem...

Hi, I'm Pablo and I have a modding problem...

true it is far away...
just like it's hard for me to come up to the Akron area all the time too, i mean i love working on stuff, hanging out, and all the help i get from you guys (love ya, Evan! lol)...but at 40 miles each way...i'm spending $15 just in gas every time for the trip...kinda sucks...

i kinda feel like an ass just making the trip only whenever something is going on or when i'm installing something...especially with a car payment now, money's a lot tighter...but i hope you guys understand!

...and i think we all have a modding problem, lol

I have a problem actually buying stuff to mod. I talk myself out of things a lot. Hell, it only took me 2 1/2 years to buy springs.
