If you want the rear end to stay a little more planted, disconnect the rear sway bar. There is a turn near work that all I have to do is go into it at over 20 mph, and stay off the throttle. The car will wiggle on exit.
Essentially, you're dealing with a light weight car (not really with the MSM tho... the NC's are lighter) with an extremely short wheelbase, and relatively narrow tires. Couple that with a very close ratio transmission, near instant throttle response, and a short ratio'd rear end... Sideways is effortless.

Yeah... that kinda helps, but you still have the issue of a very stiff rear end. Exit of turns is still affected while the entrance is helped.
Ask aMaff about his suspension setup on his NA. Big ass front bar, no rear bar. That with the homemade coilovers... he was setting FTD on street tires.

That makes sense. I'm not used to lightweight, short wheelbase, rwd with some power. 335's are an option, too, I guess.

I'm gonna drive it as it is for a while, I don't mind what it's doing, I just wasn't expecting it so I just have to get used to it

i must say, driving the MSM when it's wet is... interesting...
I test drove one last fall and it just started raining when I got to the dealership. Needless to say I scared the salesman a little bit.
My Miata isn't much better. It's gotten me a couple of times at Mid-Ohio in the rain:
Big front bar/no rear bar works really well for autocross especially Miatas with the open or weak non-Torsen LSDs. I wouldn't say the same for track driven Miatas though...

I would try and reach out ot Jeff Diffendorfer who has the PTA MSM that is running down Vipers and Vettes in NASA. The car is fast as hell and I am sure he can help with suspension to help you boys at..I believe he is running this weekend @ Mid-Ohio!
Those Porterfield RS-4 pads you recommended Marlon are great. I have to get use to them in the rain, that's for sure. They lock up the front real quick when there is little traction. But for dry road conditions they are beastly and can stop on the dime when using a lot less effort than what I had before. Plus I just got my tires flipped for autocross so this next weekend should be a good time unless it rains. Thenit could be disaster!
Forgot to mention I re-did my rear sway bar brackets. reinenforced them and tweeked the design. They should be alot stonger now and handle the harshness of DD andthe mass amount of torque applied to the rear when turning hard. I'll have to post some new pics of the setup. Supprising it only took 3 trys and $40 to come up with a system that works. Now I just have to fiberglass my center counsle for the new gauge cluster. Good Times!

Thanks in advance for the pics!!! I blow thru a set of new bushings every 90 to 180 days! Just bought 5 more sets from suspensionrestoration dot com!
