The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I am no expert by any stretch but I would check for good bright spark. Even newish cap, rotor, and wires can be "off" a bit and produce a weak spark. Thus corboned-up plug, add moisture (rain) and bam runs and smells like hell. Besides those 3 things are cheap in comparison to stuck valve, or bad rings. Just my 2cents.

No worries man. Just keep it in mind. I know the Ohio folks all have good relations with them, but... like I said. Forum rules.

talk to a guy from an aftermarket coilover retailer, he might be able to hook you up

I've been asking around--turns out Mazda wants all issues directed to the manufacturer, KW. Supposedly if I contact them they may be able to send me a replacement strut. That is all I need, a replacement Mazdaspeed strut. The spring, mounts, etc. are all in perfect shape.

Thanks for the informal tip--it is what led me to this next step!

did an oil change, noticed my lower tie bar (which also holds the front of the lower control arm) was loose. the bolt was just hangin out so i tightend that and hopefull that will solve my tourqe steer issue. i was gonna change my pads & rear rotors but noticed they all still have alot left. when i had my front wheel bearing replaced i was told i needed new rear rotors which leads me to the question: when do rotors need replaced? what should i look for? The fronts are about 4 years old, the rears i replaced last year but with cheap ones and my calipers went bad so i'm sure that didn't help them.
