The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

i'm 99% sure the bolt patern on the civics are 5x114.3, not sure about the hub bore

Motegis, yuck. I know they've gotten much better over the last few years but the first thing that comes to mind is always heavy ass ricer wheels from Pep Boys. But if they're lightweight and good quality like you say, I'm all for 'em. They certainly look nice.

Its 5x114.3 for SI's and RSX's, not base models, IIRC. But ya, I'm more interested in the hub. SI's & RSX's use a 70.6 hb, but I'm wondering if the wheels are a 73 hb since many aftermarket wheels have a universal bore to use in conjunction with hub rings.

These are the Cadilac of Motegi's, bro. I hate every other Motegi wheel out there. Traklights are more expensive than a lot of Enkei's new (RPF1's for instance...). No pepboys bs, what do you think this is? I told you my requirements... I won't even go with Rotas. (lol2)

Traklights are Forged. Not cast. 15lbs @ 17x8. As light or lighter than rpf1's. ;)

I've been running motegi wheels for the last 4 yrs. love them!

Cool, man. I'm just not hip to them, that's all. They look really good and have great specs so I'm all for them. Buy buy buy! Haha

Did you remove your turbo? Or still planning to turbo? Or what? You needa splain yoself. lol

It's a long story...ha ha ha. short version: Wanted to be a little bit faster. I found an intercooler online for cheep. Mounted it on the car and ran the pipes. End of story. No more progress. Mostly because, car has 122k miles and needs rebuilt. No more funds to get the rest. Like the rest of the guys said, you gotta see it. the little Mazda is defiantly different.

Nearly 900 miles later and podiums fisnhes for Mazda at both watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio, it was a helluva weekeknd...Now, we head to Mid-Ohio to run in Time Trials and HPDE 2 this weekend....

Also, for you Mazda Corral Attendees, we've worked out a deal with Juha,(professional phtographer), he is going to do tech talks and provide information on where to take the best pics at the various sites, so you can become better phtogs, etc.

Damn #70 car, LOL! Tough break for us on the #69, but such is racing I suppose. That definitely was a fun experience though.

On another note I hope this wasn't anyone on here. Driving back yesterday afternoon we encountered a dark grey Mazda3 on I-271S around the Macedonia area. It was modded: lowered, aftermarket wheels, "evil M" on back at least. What got me is they were driving like a tool (exceeding the speed limit by 20 mi/hr or so, swerving around traffic without the use of a blinker, etc.). This is not helping my view of 3/MS3 drivers...

I've seen that car a few times as well. Similar driving style. To the best of my knowledge, they are NOT on here.

I am pretty sure I have seen that car too. If I ever swerve around traffic (very very rare because I enjoy having a license lol) I at least use my turn signals!! I've seen it soo many times with other cars driving stupid like that. They go to swerve, don't use their turn signal, and some random guy gets into his lane almost creating a pile up. I find myself sort of following far behind crazy drivers like that so I can get to work a little faster haha. I feel like the cop is going to see him driving like a bat out of hell and pull him over before he even sees me lol

My little red cop magnet usually sticks to one lane... unless Evan and I are on our way somewhere in two cars, then I'm usually following his moves...
