It's hard not feeling like a complete idiot when you're entering the paddock riding in the tow truck, and then everybody hovering over your car. But, the video makes me feel better about it. I didn't do something stupid, just didn't catch it in time the second time it broke lose

I think you handled it well. It's just a car it can, and will be fixed. I was surprised at how many people were gathered around the car. To me it speaks to the inexperience of the Auto Interests group as a whole. I've seen people with just as bad or worse accidents at NASA or PCA events and there's no crowd.

I've watched the video a dozen times now and I don't know that there was anything that you could've done to save it. It was just too much speed for the conditions. Heck, I spun the same exact way in turn 1 a few years ago but it was raining much harder and I was going much slower.

What do all of the track junkies think about have all of our folks come out to the HPDE event @ Mid-Ohio, like th Miata and Rotaries guys? I mean for those are not doing the HPDE, we can do the parade laps and ride alongs, etc. We can turn it into a nice little meet?

It is Labor Day Weekend and I am sure we could get some decent numbers, have a cook out as well..just wanted to see if any of you guys would be interested? I am going to talk to Jason about a Hyperdrive style program as well, with a different twist.

No word from the insurance yet, but I did find out that one of the valets goes to OTC, so he offered to work on the car.

Sorry Vice Mayor, just trying to get some details worked out, that is why I start early with things in case issues pop up! I will create a different post once we have things confirmed after his meeting with the guys @ Smokey's. They're all for it, I have to see where the MOCO partners want to join in as well.
