The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

Haha. I didn't know the answer I just knew where to look and looked it up. I have the rules saved on my computer.

I do compete in an ST* class though so I have all the rules pretty much memorized by now.

when did they cut st? the base for all the other st sub classes?

Whenever they added the STC and STF categories. 2011 or 2012.

See, go-to guy.

It would have been 2012. That is when I went full time SM and SMF. I have them saved on my computer too, but I don't have internet anymore besides my phone so I only look it up when I have to. Otherwise all of my forum and fb post are from my phone which makes it a PITA sometimes.

He said he doesn't care about that. He just wants to run with whatever class has a larger concentration of Meeps

lol he should run in a class that his car is fitted for...

Ben Machukas beat us in his STX RSX when I raced with you in the ms3. There are always going to be cars that are going to stomp on others when you mainly use you car for a dd and not a track car like John Fesslers civic in SMF that stomped on us.

he should be stf then, not smf. he will get his s*** stomped in that class

He's actually in STC. A few posts back I pointed out where you can find this information:

Street Touring - Appendix A (on page 182).

Mazda
323, 323 GT, & 323 GTX
Protg (NOC) (1999-2003)
Protg MP3

In general STF is for newer cars.

I don't think anyone here is running their car at a national prep level for the class they run in. So competitiveness is all relative to who shows up.

Exactly!

You mean the MSP isn't ready for nationals :( (small tear) I guess I have some work to do.

I actually don't know!?!? I don't know anything about SMF. :(

But, nationals is on my list of things to do if you ever seriously want to.

I would like to. I need to lighten her up a bit with cf panels and fix my suspension and steering stuff to have decent specs. Maybe next year.

True. I have no desire to be competitive. I just want to have a good time. So if I get stomped oh well. They can take pride in beating the s*** out of a 100hp wagon. I will only be looking at my times from run to run to see if I'm getting better.

That's the spirit! I used to run my P5 in STS. That went well for me...

I just registered for the Lakeland Autox this Sunday :)

How did you guys pay for it? I thought it would have you pay online. I even chose "NO" when it asked, "Pay entry fee morning of event?" However, I finished the registration and it never asked to pay online. Do we just pay cash at the event?

i wish i could pre register.... i bought a membership at the beginning of this year and they never gave me my stuff in the mail. i showed up last time and brought it to their attention but still nothing has been done.

The last page of registration takes your credit card information. You don't get charged immediately NEOSCCA has to process the payment.

Interesting. I didn't have the ability to pay with my credit card at the end of the registration. I just noticed this at the top of the final registration page: "Because the registrar has elected not to receive online payments for this event, you will need to make arrangements offline or in person to pay for your fees."
