The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

That's what I figured you'd drive and that makes sense since you signed up for SSM, but you listed the MSP.

Yeah-huh.

I'll probably come out to that one with you, Peaches. Patrick, want to come too? We should get more than 4 runs in.

alright I'll hit that one. I didn't want to go by myself again. Every guy with a speed came over to me "cool wheels, you know you should upgrade xxxx and your car would be set" <<< said in your best douche bag voice. I like company

By every guy with a Speed you mean the one other guy? Speed3s aren't common at autocrosses haha. ;)

I hope they are more organized that the first time.

I had 4 msm and one ms3 guy last weekend telling me how my car isn't right or needs this this and this which I already have. I will take advice on what pads to buy next but when the speed3 guy started telling me how to upgrade my brakes the proper way (his rotors were shot by the way) and that he got KW v3 coilovers for 75 bucks and had one strut rebuilt I started to get mad lol.

Yeah so I need to go to days with friends or park way out so nobody comes near me lol. How long should I expect the HPS pads I put on with Evan to last? I have been super hard on the brakes my past two events with these new tires.

Autocross isn't hard on the brakes. You said you drive a ton right? I'd expect them to last a couple years at least.

Nice. Yeah I'm at about 40k a year. I need to get a beater lol. But That makes me happy don't need to spend money on that then. But what about the VIR day I am still planning to go to?

That it does, but who knows if it will get organized or not. We may all just have to crash some club event down there.

I realized the other day I didn't do half bad at the last Toledo auto-x considering I was in SM and was only running FWD. haha

Will, I'd like to co-drive your car and for you to do-drive mine sometime. I learned a lot from having Marc drive it, and I'd like some feedback on how in handles and how to make it better, see if my ideas are on track.

Sounds good to me.

Will it be more expensive being the event is through a porsche club?

NNJR PCA is one of the most affordable groups that you can do track days with. They will charge you $30-50 more because you aren't a PCA member. I'll try to find the prices.

So when I went to VIR with this club in 2010 it was $400 with an instructor for all 3 days. $350 without an instructor. I would imagine that it would be in the same ballpark. I'm not sure if this club requires you to be a PCA member or not, but a year long membership for PCA is $46.

You will get at least 4 sessions per day, 30 minutes each.
