I put on the aem b/f cai with k&n highflow cone filter and got 18 lbs of boost now. I wouldent put a mbc either, there to unperdictable.

yeah but i wanna run more boost.. and yes i know i need a tune. im going to go but i want them to tune me for a certain boost. witch they do with a mbc. i dont want ap trash....

so being able to activly control boost based on rpm, pedal position and load is a bunch of trash?

wait till you spike 24 psi at 2500-3000 rpm. then your motor will be the trash here.

and btw, you can tune boost with the access port. logic over force.

Lol your ignorance is astounding. You think that by cranking the boost up your going to make more power safely hahaha. Do you even know how the car determines how much boost to run? Tell me, how are they going to adjust fueling and spark requirements once you dial up the boost?

I have "ap trash" I don't spike...ever, and hold 18psi all the way to redline.

Oh and I was able to make 285whp BEFORE I increased boost. Good luck OP make sure u carry kitty litter to pick up the oil when cyl 3 decides to take a walk.

i only hold 18 in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th i only hold 15 at best. time to play around with the boost comp tables lol.
 
dont turn boost up unless u have a tune.....seriously don't cuz my car blew up running higher boost with no tune...and it's been over a year and it's still broken done

cobb ap = load based tuning / cpe standback = boost based tuning

not always cylinder 3 ...for me cylinder 1...but i think OP gets the idea...unless you have enough money for a backup motor feel free to up the boost then...it pays to play...and for me 10K into the rebuild when it's done and i will be forged and making a s*** ton of power on my T3

Basically, if you want power easily- cobb ap

if you want serious power, standback.

personally i like the AP better because of the simplicity but thats just me.
 
boost spikes aren't good...ur just asking to have a hole in ur block...then you will have a hole in your pocket.....those boost spikes are gonna bent a rod...then your piston will seize in the cylinder then the rod will break in half putting a couple holes in your block along with oil all over the pavement....take it for what's its worth
