Here's one of my personal recipes that only break out for really special occassions:

Tropical fruit sangria:

2-4 bottles of good red wine (a nice rose or shiraz is good)
3 blood oranges
3 star fruit
2 cactus pears

Slice the fruit for easy consumption and put into a large container (keep in mind, if you have to travel with it, make sure you use a container that has a lid!). Add wine and let sit for 2-3 hours. Taste it. If the wine is too acidic, you can add confectioner's sugar to taste, but don't go heavy. You are not making kool-aid. Ladle and enjoy! Don't forget to eat the fruit... (beer)

Proportions are up to you...I did a shot of each one in a glass, three times over and blacked out a hour later.

1 part Rumple Minze
1 part Jagermeister
1 part Goldschlager

Jager Bomb (if you don't know this one, shame on you)

1/2 can Red Bull energy drink
1 - 2 oz Jagermeister herbal liqueur


Washington Apple

1/3 oz Crown Royal Canadian whisky
1/3 oz DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker schnapps
1/3 oz cranberry juice
1 splash 7-Up soda

Irish Car Bomb
One of my absolute favorites
3/4 pint Guinness stout
1/2 shot Bailey's Irish cream
1/2 shot Jameson Irish whiskey



Add the Bailey's and Jameson to a shot glass, layering the Bailey's on the bottom. Pour the Guinness into a pint glass or beer mug 3/4 of the way full and let settle. Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug. If you don't drink it fast enough it will curdle and increasingly taste worse.

This both intrigues and worries me at the same time! This is the first time I've seen Goldschlager mixed with anything. I will have to try this as I currently have all three in my refrigerator.

Pineapple takes the bite out of any liquor and is a barteneder's best friend when mixxing drinks. Between my wife and I we have 15 years bartending experience. I am more of a beer man and she is the queen of martinis and cosmos. We have Shocktop on tap, and it is quite good. Yueingling is my everyday choice with Smithwichs and New Castle for true beer enjoyment.

try the trappiste ale, that sounds like something you would
nice amber color, good hoppiness, great bouquet, smooth finish. Its great plus since it is still made by monks they use all the extra money from the sale of beer that they dont use for ingredients they donate to charity

Blue Long Island

1 shot vodka
1 shot gin
1 shot light rum
1 shot gold tequila
1 shot Blue Curacao liqueur
5 oz sweet and sour mix or sprite

Grab a tall glass of ice, add the above, shake/stir and drink.

Bonus: drink enough of them and your s*** is green the next day...

My wife loves for me to make these and they will put you on your ass in no time at all. I lost half a weekend to these bastards not too long ago.

Apple Martini
2 parts Smirnoff Apple Vodka
1 part Triple Sec
1 part Apple Pucker

Shake in a martini shaker with ice, pour into glass and drink immediately.

One of my favorite martinis is the Manhattan. Not nearly as smooth as the Apple martini, but still tasty.

3 parts Maker's Mark
1 part sweet vermouth
A dash of Angostura bitters
1 or more maraschino cherries

Same preparation directions as above.
