The biggest rims on a mazda

Thanks for chiming in Mr. Negativity.
What would we do without your generalized thoughts(fuoops)(loser).

Part of what I do here is to tell the WHOLE STORY. Negative or NOT. I am sorry if you do not like that. Please do not attempt to insult me further in open forum. You have a PM.

jesus...the quality of this forum is really taking a dive...I love this place so why does every thread have to end up being a BS e-tough guy-fest?

Killer made a correct statement about the tires so why call that negative? It would be irresponsible to say there is no down side to bigger tires or even say they are better, when the fact is they are not. Its not negativity, it is the truth. If you want sunshine, rainbows, and hugs then this forum is not the place to be.

I hope a big brake kit is part of the plan... otherwise, everyone outta his way!

Can... not... stop... !!!

forget the biggest rims on a mazda... who has the biggest belt buckle?

Because he does it in EVERY thread about getting or having bigger wheels, let it be already, its tiring, stfu, Jesus Christ.

It is negativity, when its the ONLY thing he says.
He always has something negative to say.
It wears down on the experience, especailly when you see a MODERATOR do it.
Someone asked
why bigger tires? What's the benefit?
And killer said with his oh so quality posting, nothing 34920349 yada yada yada, they only bring negatives, well not in this CX-7 owners eyes!
HE did it because HE likes it, thats the benefit.

The other person certainly did not ask what the downsides are, killer just "threw that in".

so the only positive is that he likes it?

that's cool, cause I couldn't think of one

Hey I understand, Ive been on this forum for years and I am no stranger to Killer. But he's gonna post how he is going to post. And there was someone who asked what the benefits were. I agree with Killer that there are none. I mean if the OP likes them then more power to him, but I still think that the other guy who asked what the benefits are got the right answer.

I am not trying to argue, but the situation is that Killer is a part of this forum and if you dont like what he posts then it is like any other situation in life, you just have to let it go. He did not break any forum rules with his post and you may not like him or what he says, but it just isnt worth it to provoke a flame war. It is just the internet, ya know?

...and yet, you didn't have any problem with my post before his, which said the exact same thing, only more sarcastically?

I think you've just got a personal problem with Killer, and while you're not the only person I've seen on here with issues, I'm not sure why you're voicing them here, about this. Enough with the E-dick swinging!
(enguard)

I didn't have a problem with your post because I don't see you posting over here, and I don't see you posting the same exact thing over and over and over again, only to bring out the negatives, and only to post something, Killer being a "Moderator" only adds to it.

Because he does it constantly, is why, and it's a total generalization, and one that could be wrong.
could be wrong?? you going to argue against the laws of physics?

to answer all of your questions
the tires are 255/30/24 to make them fit i did nothing, no lifts, no spacers, no nothing, they fit right on no problem. now the ride, you full a little of the road but not much. performance it feels the same . the look I like the look the cx-7 has a bubble look and the rims look great on the car and the positive is that it turns heads. the rims cost $2200 out the door.

^That's a pretty good price on 24" wheels/tires. Glad you got what you were looking for.

Now for the off-topic portion of our program. The e-bashing... hey it happens in every forum. I knew there were going to be flamers as soon as I read the thread title... I also knew Killer would be one of them. I've also noticed his constant "negativity" as CX-7's=LOVE said earlier... but I've pretty much disregarded most of his posts for that reason as well. That said she (sorry assuming here) did probably just lash out of frustration at Killer. He is definitely correct about the negatives of the larger wheels/tires. But CX-7's=LOVE is also definitely correct about the benefit of the owner liking them. Fact is a lot of forum posters are much more judgmental, and sometimes less tactful about voicing their dislike of a particular mod. Again a fact of forums. To both Killer and CX-7's=LOVE... get thicker skin.

I hope CX-7's=LOVE does not stop posting on these forums as I have read a few of his/her threads/posts and find them always to always be either informative to me... or inquisitive on his/her part. Forums need just that.

Killer... yes you were correct and were not OVERLY harsh in your first post, but there was some definite undertones of despise for the OP's choice of wheels.

Wow, those are some hefty rims dude. Keep an eye on your brake pads and rotors. They are gonna wear out faster due to a larger force of enertia, created by the larger circumfrance and additional weight of the rims. Otherwise, enjoy!

Not everything that turns heads is good...

I might see a 500 pound woman walking down the street with a roasted turkey under her arm, and I might turn around to look because it's a ridiculous sight, not because she looks good or attractive.

Asking the benefits of 24" rims is like asking the benefits of the shark fin antenna, the turbo badge or the leather shift boot cover.

The benefits of all of these things is that you have made the car uniquely yours. There is now only 1 CX-7 exactly like yours.

Now if you want to know the downsides... the compromises of making it yours, that's another story. Some have found the shark fin reduces radio reception. Other's fear the turbo badge will increase tickets. 24" rims can reduce performance and make for a harsher ride.

But it doesnt' seem to me that Mazda on 24 cares about his 0-60. He makes no mention of planning to auto-x his CX-7.

So for him the benefit having a CX-7 on 24" rims is enough for him and the negatives are, in his mind, worth it.

Thanks for the advice. But I am not being negative. I am being factual. There is a difference.
As far as my skin thickness goes..that's just laughable. but thanks for your thoughts. :)

^Oh I agree you were being factual. But "Absolutely none" is not exactly correct for the benefit of the wheels (and does have negative undertones). They look good to the op and that is all the benefit he needed. Like I said your post was not horrible or offensive, or incorrect, but there was a twinge of neg.

Now hopefully he takes the drawbacks to big heavy wheels into consideration while driving. I know he'll try to avoid potholes and that stuff, but I hope he realizes he will have to follow a little less closely, and drive a bit slower, because the brakes are less effective now. Other than that.... more power to you 24, keep doing your thing.
