u sanded off the dx? its just a sticker..
 
I took off the moldings painted the mirrors,doorhandles figured it was the right thing to do

my car was in the sun for most of the day, the metal was hot, i went up to it, and peeled it off, same with side moldings, if you do it when the metal is hot, they do come right off.
 
Ah, I did mine at night when it was cooler outside. It took me about 4-5 hours to do both sides doing the molding and stickers. My arms felt like they were going to fall off.
 
took me about 1 hour to do both stickers and moldings, i also had a molding remover air tool, it grabs off all the glue, then had a buddy buff the car down to blend it all in..
 
oh yeah my car had been painted in the front before and they blended the clear over the dx sticker thats why i had to sand it
 
Yeah so... anyone know anyone who want's to buy my car? I just ate my second engine in 2 months (I'll post a full story when I am sober) and am thinking I am gonna get rid of the piece of s***. 2 engine, 2 months, not my fault, it's getting old and I am getting pissed off. I'm not riding the thing as hard as I used to... I take car of it, I wash it every week, oil change (synthetic) every 5-6k miles, I'm like OCD about keeping it clean and fresh. I do my own brake jobs and all. I'm just pissed at what happened, in short, the Mazda dealership up here said that my engine broke a spark plug and the cylendar ate the b****... How the **** does that happen? Anyway, I could use some support and sympathy, but I'm drunk as s*** righ now so i'm just gonne post this b**** and get going.... Peace
 
yeah if the motor is busted, i cant imagine too many ppl would wanna buy the whole car...but if ur parting out, the sport20 kit would look oh so nice on my car lol
 
Sorry to hear that bout your motor. I know that feeling...lol:( I thought 2 motors in one year was bad, but 2 motors in 2 months has to hurt painfully.

If you gonna sell, part out the kit to me. We both live in MD and both have white proteges'...hehe ;).

Wow, shame to hear about your car. I can't say I know whatcha mean cause I don't. I totally sympathize with you though. I hope this latest incident doesn't deter you from buying another Mazda in the future. It would suck to lose you as a forum member around here. I just started talking with you, but you seem pretty cool. Very knowledgeable as well. Best of luck to you in these hard times.

If I were gonna part it out, you'd be first on the list. I'm actually gonna repair the car (again) and then sell it... Ask your friends, tell your neighbors, I need to get this thing sold.. I'm thinking $6500 obo. You all can see my parts list so, put the word out.
