Text message greyed out using MetroPCS smartphone

Hi All,

Has anyone seen this issue pairing MetroPCS phone with 2014 Mazda 6? The Text message feature is disabled. I contacted Mazda and they told me they don't test with MetroPCS and only test with major carriers. Not sure the tech behind MetroPCS SMS versus the ATT, Verizon, SPRINT.

Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Did some digging and found phone needs to have Message Access Profile (MAP) for bluetooth for txt messages to work. Apparently, Huawei Premia does not have this though I need to confirm.
