Texstar pads?

Anyone have any experience with them? On some sort of Mazda chassis? Are these one of those Made-in-china pads that just crumble off the backing?

Never heard of them either and i've been through a bunch of brands. How much cheaper are they than the Hawk HPS? IMO, brake pads/rotors are where the money belongs.

i found a local deal for new pads/oe rotors for $150

cheapest HPS is currently $55 on ebay, cheapest OEM rotors at onlinemazparts is $140 shipped (=$195).

apparently Textar is like a Pagid, but produces euro oem parts, with 100+ years behind the firm. they've been owned by nisshinbo since '11, and supplies benz with OE parts and more popular with bimmer guys. I think I'm ok!
