I do wonder if this isn't a 100K+ mileage issue
Most turbos fail at around 100,000 miles, IF not properly maintained (synthetic oil, 30-60 second cool downs, cold weather rips).
That means we will not hear about any CX9 turbo failures until the engines start seeing 100,000 miles. For Mazda and other companies, as long as the warranty period is up, who cares if something fails at 100,000 miles? It's not their problem anymore.
