Telling apart different trim levels

I'm looking into a 08-10 mazda5, and when I check online, a lot of people don't seem to put the trim level. How would I go about telling apart the different trim levels? I'm interested in a Grand Sport.

GS trim is the Canadian equivalent of the base Sport.
American Sport trim is really easy to spot: the taillights have huge red outer sections and some clear inside sections for turn signals and backup lamps. They have a straight vertical 3rd brake light area, no panels under the doors and no fog lamps. The rear spoiler tailgate, runner panels and foglamps can be added as a package, but on the inside will be manual dials for the climate control.
Perhaps you mean Grand Touring, which has all options including a leather interior.

Yes, I meant grand touring. How do I tell those apart?

The GT has larger wheels - that may help distinguishing trim levels if exterior pics are all you have. There are two rim sizes to my knowledge, with the GT sporting a 17" rim and the lower trims using 16" rims.

You got some awesome eagle eyes if you can spot the different between 17” vs 16” rims in pics. :D
I do understand there are some slight packaging differences from CA vs US. CA Sport trim do not come with CC and 16”, I think?. In the US, all 08-10 trims come with the same 17” style rim and CC.

For US models, here are some hints to look for if only going by, I assume somewhat wide view and not close-up, pics:
Blacked out headlight housing (HIDs) – Definitely GT
Hard to see but if you spot a black box on the windshield, just on top of the rear view mirror (rain sensor) – Definitely GT
You should be able to see the “perforated” leather on seats and door panels and not the 80’s print on the cloth – Definitely GT
LED tails – Either a Touring or GT
Moonroof - Either a Touring or GT
No fog lights – Definitely a Sport
No aero package (hatch spoiler, side skirts) – Definitely a Sport

Thanks.

To keep things moving, for the 2008-2010 there isn't any difference between 2008 & 2009 right?

2010 got Traction & Stability controls. Is that the only difference?

To add to the confusion...

Some sport models DO have side skirts and rear spoiler extension on the liftgate. It was part of the 1PE preferred equipment package. From a side view they'll look the same as the Touring or Grand Touring. Mine is equipped this way. When I was browsing online ads I generally used the following from photos.

1) Plastic steering wheel = Sport
2) Leather steering wheel, cloth seats = Touring
3) Leather steering wheel, leather seats = Grand Touring

This is assuming someone didn't just add their own leather kit.
