Tax money is in, time for some mods

Going to put aftermarket sway bars on my Speed 3 with a little tax money.

Couple of questions, would appreciate some opinions.
First, seems to be only two makes I can find, Hotchkis and Cobb. Are there others for the Speed?

Second, any brand preference?

Third, just rear sway bars? I leaning toward the set, but just wanted to know if fronts were wasting money?

Last, should I upgrade the endlinks as well?

Thanks for opinions and suggestions!

I have the Cobb RSB and love it. It's personal choice I think between the 2. I don't know any other type out there but that does not mean there isn't any.

Most people don't do the fronts as they are a PITA to install I hear. The rear is a 30m job and you don't even have to lift the car.

I have the cobb front and rear. the front was a pain in the ass. But you are going to get the most results from the front bar. (No pain no gain). I just put in the new endlinks because i was getting some rattle with the new bar. So if your giong to get the bars then spend the extra 80bucks. But i heard that the AWR endlinks dont work with the Hotchkins.
I also heard that the hotchkins rub with the front bar.

If your not gong to get the front then just spend the money on something else.

Thanks for the info guys.

From what I read at another forum Hotchkis makes the Cobb bars. Not sure if this is true.

No solid bars for the Speed 3?

I think you can only get the hotchkis in a set. I went with the cobb rsb only on the stiffer setting and really liked it. I havent had an issue with the endlinks coming loose after a few thousand miles. I think the cobb is a little thinner than the hotchkis too, depends on how stiff you want I guess.

Just curious, why Cobb or Tripoint over the Hotchkis. I see you run Cobb, but any other reason?
Thanks

no reason other than I thought you could only get the Hotchkis as a pair. I really think this car needs only an RSB unless you have coilovers and do serious high speed track driving to where you might gain a few seconds with a front. Personally I love the 3 way adjustability of the Cobb.

Well I guess it definitely wont be a Cobb, since they have announced they are no longer going to make parts for Mazdaspeeds..sux

this is not correct. they have simply discontinued further in house tuning of the vehicles with the accessport. they will continue to produce the existing product line.

with the way Gary at Cobb has handled everything, lumping and stereotyping everyone in the MS community into one group...cobb wont get any of my bread

Yes, my apology for mis-stating. But I do think all development of future products for this platform is done, according to their forum. But Gary's statement disappointed me enough to keep me from buying Cobb.

So looks like for me, it is down to Hotchkis or the new Tri-point RSB.
Thanks
