basically i'm probably only going to be able to afford one this summer, so which would you choose? i was thinking probably a ball python for the snake, or for the tattoo a chinese dragon. i'd like to get both but am poor, so that probably won't happen.

Snake.

Tattoos (unless their a butterfly on a girls' ass), I think are quite gay. Yeah! Gay!

Used to have a snake, Boa. All i can say is, be sure you are aware of the responsibility. Especially Pythons. Once they get to their adult size, you will need to do some hefty feeding, rabbits jumbo rats and the like.
There are some hardcore responsibilities that come with a snake.
Most people end up giving them up due to this, just a heads up
I didnt give her up for the above mentioned reasons, it was due to a move.

bah, i can't play with a tattoo of a snake :)

i know the responsibilities that go with snakes and pets in general, i don't mind. i had a green iguana up until last summer, which was cool but i want a different reptile now

^^^ Then i say shoot for the snake!

I still wish i had mine. Stupid landlord...

so say i get the snake, should i get a baby or should i get a more grown up one? i know one of the local pet shops usually has animals that people didn't want anymore and are kinda grown up a little. i would think it would be easier to take care of a bigger one, but then it may have picked up bad habits or been neglected by the previous owner

If possible, you should get one that is young, so it can grow with you. Most will have issues with previously owned snakes.
And pet stores are evil! Try to stay away from them. Unless they have a great reputation, but those are limited. I would recommend finding a breeder in your area

There was a forum i used to go to all the time, and it was perfect for finding new pet snakes. It was a site owned by well known breeders of exotic animals. I will have to see if i can locate it again..its been a while!

hmm, i have no idea where to find a local snake breeder :)
i know i want a tattoo, it's just a matter of when i'm going to get it. i don't plan on playing with my tattoo :p

i ps'd something before that i have at home and i'll post it later, but it would need to be changed a bunch and i can't draw. it's basically a ring with 2 like things sticking out of it and a dragon in the middle. the dragon i'm going to need to flow more with the ring and probably change the angle of but i would need to be able to draw to do that. it'll make more sense when i post the picture :)

well the first one is the one i ps'd, it's just 2 different pictures that i put together. then i started thinking and the tattoo i want is kinda like the mortal kombat logo, but a little more detailed

My friend just got a dragon on his arm, almost just like the mortal combat one. Cept if you really look at it, it kinda looks like a sea horse...lol..ill see if i can get a pic.

IMHO. Dont get a tatoo because you think its coo...do you even like dragons? If you were some crazy guy who was all into bad ass dragon s***, then sure. But if your just doing it because its the flavor of the week (and it is) then its not the smartest decision.

I would say go for the snake. I've actually got a fairly large dragon tatoo covering my right shoulder blade and never regreted it until the last few years. I finally got older, got married and have kids now. I don't really think about it too much except when my wife and I go to visit her parents. See my in-laws are Japanese and tatoos in Japan are not just fashion statements, they are more often than not used by the Yakusa. To enough of an extent that I am not able to go to a bath house with my brother and father-in-law when courtesy would dictate that I should accept the invitation. Not to mention that it took my mother-in-law about three weeks to be able to talk to me after she found out, and she really likes me!
Not saying don't go for it but your life will change in ways you never expect down the road and you may decide that you don't want it later on. Just think on it really long and hard, like until you are in your late twenties. I waited until I was 25 before I got mine.
