Well Walser Mazda (Burnsville, MN) replaced my transmission upon taking it apart and seeing the second gear synchro and shift fork were worn down. I told them since day 1 i want my Quaife LSD. SO...durring the whole week i left them my car they did not contact me and i had to call them, only to be told they didnt know what the status on my car was. i call this morning and they said it should be done by 4. i get a call around 2:30 saing i can come pick it up. I get there and the first thing out of my mouth is "where is my car, and where is my LSD"...the mechanic that did my transmission prceeded to tell me with his ******* attitude that he refused to put in my lsd and that i have to buy it back from the used car department in order to get it back, because they are the ones that bought my new tranny so now the own my old one....idk how that makes sence so WTF.... I, having enough of this s*** go on a 20 min rant with him. he proceeds to tell me that since it had a aftermarket lsd mazda wouldnt warrenty it, so the used car department themselves bought me a new tranny so they could warrenty it incase something went wrong with it now. i think tomyself this does not make sence..i call my dad and ask him what to do and he says he'll call his lawyer and we'll handle this..so i take my car and drive off making sure to leave rubber thorugh the whole parking lot thing. SO WORD OF ADIVICE TO THOSE GOING TO WALSER MAZDA IN BURNSVILLE, MN STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! THEY WILL JUST BEND YOU OVER AND **** YOU IN THE ASS HOLE.

AND NOT TO MENTION I BOUGHT THE CAR KNOWING SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH SECOND GEAR CAUSE THEY SAID THEY WOULD FIX IT. so since day 1 i have been fighting with them. I want my Quaife LSD and i will get it back..if anyone has ideas on how to help i would apreciate them....

wow... and that's a $1,900 LSD too..defentaly worth going to court over. If you have *any* documentation saying that you wanted them to remove your LSD (and that they agreed) then get it and keep it safe. Otherwise You'll be facing a pretty tough fight to get your old tranny(for free that is..) back so you can get your LSD.

im having ryan send me the recipt and i got the list of faild lsd's just incase i need and im printing my copy of the magnussen moss act too "spelling?"

Did you talk to the used car sales manager? Maybe that a calm conversation with him is all that is needed.

I don't know if this would help but you should see if Ryan has a receipt from when he purchased the LSD, or have the aftermarket parts company where he bought it be it Street Unit or whereever bring up sales records and have them mail a receipt to you to prove that a Quaife was purchased for that car. That would be a start and a perfect way to prove it was purchased for that car. If Ryan still has the stock LSD go and get it and simply make a trade for the Quaife LSD. I'm assuming their agreement to fix the car when you bought it was verbal so problems shouldn't be a surprise. Is the car put back together? It it is then are you just gonna sell the Quaife or what? Just relax and don't spazz out too much. I called and talked to Ryan about this and he is more than willing to help. He wants you to call or email him regarding the receipt and his old LSD. Let me know if I can help. I live pretty close. Good luck man. Thanks, Joe.

So I guess you already thought of that receipt idea. Seriously, I can't stress this enough but you need to be very calm. No more burnouts. That's just gonna make you look bad and get nothing accomplished. They are probably gonna say nothing is covered cuz you drive like a maniac. Keep us updated.

Hey,

First off, Thanks Joe for looking out for a fellow MSP'er and letting me know about what is going on here with my old car :)

I have the receipt from Corksport for the LSD. I also have the stock LSD laying in my garage. Let me know and I'll get them to you.

However, I think you need to treat the dealership with a little respect if you want to be treated the same way. That dealership has been great to me and when I traded that car in, there were no problems. Who knows if they beat the crap out of it and then sold it though....things happen.

I don't know if court is necessary. I would just talk with the used car manager or a manager at that dealership and work something out, like orng1 mentioned above.

I can see them wanting to keep the LSD though, as they did provide the work for you free of charge, or under warranty. I know from previous warranty work, they can not give you the old parts. However, they might trade the old LSD for the Quaife though.

Hope things go well for you. Please remember though, treat them with some respect and they will do the same to you.

Peace,
Ryan

Sounds good.

Since you're in Eagan, it would probably be easier if you met up with me while I was at work down in Bloomington. Otherwise you have to drive all the way up to Roseville.

Maybe we can meet up Thurs sometime, let me know what your schedule is.

This is a good point. Being on the other side of the service counter, I can say it is very hard to be impartial when someone loses their temper, becomes emotional, then leaves in a haze of tire smoke. I generally am very generous when shown calm and factual behavior....

I'm not sure I completely understood the first post. Was sort of hard to follow, but it sounds like they did you wrong. However, I also agree with the others that while blowing your top might be acceptable, burnouts in the parking lot to nothing to further your cause. Good luck, and keep us posted.

That's cool that he has a receipt for you, after blowing mine the way it did I'd be scared to drive one with a stock diff. Try and stay calm explain to them that is the reason why you got this MSP, show them the failure list and let them know that you explained already that you wanted that diff in your car. Good luck man and keep us updated.

I have the stock LSD with me today at work, so let me know if you want to meet up and get it from me.

call me crazy but if you did not agree to trade them the LSD for a new tranny, wouldnt that be theft? but i would have left the car at the shop, by you taking the car, could mean that you did agree to the work that they did and cause issues down the road.

The service guys are a bunch of jerk off. Last time I am going there or buy a car there for sure.

LOL...nice first post.

What did they do to you?

They have always been cool with me and seem to do a great job.

nope. they just replaced third gear again cause they didnt install anything correctly. wires were left disconected. spoke with mazda usa and they didnt give a crap or do anything. walser mazda service department SUCKS.
