Taking apart the bov

I asked this question under forced induction and received no response so maybe i need to put it some where a little more obvious. I have a imitation type s bov from ebay and i have tried taking it apart but i cant get the top half to come apart. I didnt know if there was something else i have to do other than taking out the 8 allen screws?

why are you taking it apart? also most members get the real deal so that's probably why no one has responded to this.

i am taking it apart so i can take out the small weaker spring, i read on here some where that its better that way. And yes i realize most people get the real thing but i have had this bov sitting in my house for years because it came with some turbo kit so i figured why not put it to use.

why don't you post a pic so we can better help you assess the problem with the BOV.
