i was thinking about removing the front outer door handles and replacing them with a set of rear door handles and wanted to know what all is involved/needed to do something like this. any and all info will be greatly appreciated. thanks, peace.

Will they even fit?? I know it is possible with the Civic I have, but at least on the MSP, due to the position of the lock(keyhole) it will not work. The rear door handles don't have the lock, therefore,. they are shorter in length the the front handles.

on the p5 it will work, our door handles are the same =D

i was thinking about doing this to the front passenger but not now. need cash for better stuff first

thanks for the replies so far, things aren't looking so good but like i said it was just a thought and i figured i would take it to my automotive family for their opinions. my goals was to "clean" up the side profile if you will and i wasn't to concerned with the battery on the alarm not working because that doesn't happen all that often if you regularly replace the battery oh say once a year.

You don't replace the better once a year. Maybe once in 3 to 5 years. The door handles are like $100 or something close to that. Kind of an expensive mod that you don't even notice. Just my 3 cents.

i was being sarcastic, that's why i said i wasn't worried about the remote not working. the idea was an alternative to shaving the door handles. thanks for throwing in that extra penny, i sure do 'preciate that, peace.
