squeaking?

Hey guys,
Last night I was driving around and I heard a very audible sweaking coming from the front end of the car. Even slight bumbs in the road seemed to trigger it. I parked and got and pushed up and down on the car to see if it was the springs. Think is my springs making this noise?

I just put in my front AWR mount about 3 weeks but could tell if the sweaking was coming from there as it was too dark to see last night. Might this be the problem?

my front struts squeek when its cold. Some say it is the front swaybar bushings

yeah I had that problem, dealer fixed it all under warranty, it was my front left bushings on the sway...

"sweaking"? wtf is that? I never heard of "sweaking" before... is there something stuck in your mouth?

cold out lately?

It's been cold here for the past couple of days, and suddenly I have this odd squeeking sound coming from the front end :(

Can anyone give me a list of what other strange noises I should expect to here from this car so I am not surprised each fricken time it happens !!!

front swaybar bushings. definitely. repl. under warranty.
good luck.

don't bother with the front bushings. It'll only come back. Part of all this is just the nature of these bushings anyways. Replace them if you want, nothing to lose, as long as your dealer isn't the type to f something else up in the process

Things you can expect

besides bushings squeaking

when it cold and dry out, there's a certain cold temp where the tokico's will squeak REALLY REALLY loud. If you think the clunk is loud, wait until you hear this. Sounds like metal against metal and I'm convinced it's due to whatever lub is on them, doesn't work in cold temps. when their wet and cold...no squeak.

Of course, like any car, you might get a squeak in the dash somewhere, window maybe, some plastic may rub..this is the nature of plastic so nothing can be done.

yea, mines like this. its incredibly loud, i can hear it over my radio. I thought it was caused when i lowered my car.

Damn i hate the cold weather....my MP3 squeeks more than my bed springs on a saturday night(upbum)

yeah yeah, I can't spell.....lets all point and make fun.=)

Anywho, I am gonna have a look at the bushings and find out for sure if thats where its coming from.

but how can you be SO OFF?

"W" is prounanced "dooobowl you" (in texas, we call it DUB-YA :D )

so if you *really* was trying to type what is understood in STANDARD american pronouncation, then you could have at least come up with "skueeking" if you can't spell?

do you come from boston or somewhere people pronounce things funny from standard american english (example: pronouncing "roof" as ruf)?

I wish I could tell you what I was thinking when I wrote this thread. I honestly have no idea what was going through my mind. Oddly enough, I am from Texas=)

ya it's just the bushings, once your car warms up driving around a lil bit it should go away. As someone else on the board said... the squeek is nice cause it lets ya know when your car isn't warmed up yet.

I don't have a warranty since I bought it from a used car dealership. Are they gonna **** me if I bring it to Mazda for the squeaking and want to replace the bushings??

Just take it to a different dealer than where you bought it. Other dealers are usually cool about that sort of thing.
