yea no s*** oklahoma sucks, it wasnt my choice to be stationed here, and one of the reasons im changing my MOS (military occupational specialty). ill be in cali at the Defense Language Institute - Foreign Language Center in monterrey...when i get there (hopefully around oct-nov) ill be sure to come with you guys/gals
You'll love it in the Monterey/Seaside area. Great weather but you may have to get use to the foggy mornings but hey, you're right next to the bay and ocean.
Classes at DLI, eh? You and the misses going to room at the Ord Military Community? The OMC has a DIY auto center, complete with lift, if you want to work on your P5.
Just watch out for the Presidio of Monterey PD. The POM PD enforces speed limits at the Presidio and OMC with K and Ka radar and they do it all the time. Your DoD windshield sticker won't get you out of that ticket.
Enjoy your stay at DLI and Monterey! I'm currently serving time at the DoD Center Monterey Bay (you may end up taking a few classes there as our tax dollars was spent renovating a good chunk of the 2nd and 3rd floor for DLI).
