Suspension/rim/tire combo

I recently came across some money that I am needing to invest into my car (the Dunlops have got to go) and since I am doing the tires, I am wanting to knock a few goals out of the way by doing them, the rims, and lowering it, all at the same time.

I am wanting to go for an Eibach kit, since that seems to be the kit of choice from what I ready on here, however I am also wanting to go up at least an inch on my wheels (at least 17", preferably 18" if I can afford it/if it is possible). I am wanting to know what the maximum wheel size I can go for is after lowering it about an inch and a half without rubbing issues. Also, if there are any of you who have gotten both the Eibach kit and gone up on wheel size, I would really appreciate knowing where you came across your set-up if you don't mind sharing. I have a few places, both online and around town I plan on checking out, but if there are some places I should consider, please let me know.

Thanks a lot, guys :)

I have Eibach Pro Kit springs with 17" IKON GT5 wheels. The wheels are currently off the car because the ride on 40 series tires was killing me. Too choppy, not enough sidewall for urban pothole driving.

I have been running the Eibach springs, 215/40/17's and my wheels have a 48mm offset. I have NO rubbing issues at all. This is the reason I talked to RISHIE and when with his forumla. Not to mention he gave me a great deal on the wheels and tires.

Almost the same setup here: Eibach Prokit, Tokico blues, 17" x 7.5 rims with a 50mm offset, and a set of P215/40VR17 tires... great look, and I think about as wide as you can go without rolling the fenders or otherwise modding...

I have the eibach prokit with tokico blues. 18x7.5 Konig unknowns with 45mm offset and 215/35/18 Bfg g-force sport tires. I have noticed no rubbing issues. the fenders have been rolled. Tires have 5000 miles and both rims and tires are about 2 months old. Make me an offer if you want them.

well i'm rocking the progress springs and i love the ride and the drop i got. i'm still on 17x7's with a 48mm offset and 205/40/17 tires. there is no rubbing issues at all! check out progress's stuff though, it is top notch

Alright... I recently had another thought about my vehicle. I still indend to get it lowered, however I am debating what style of rim and tire combination I should go for. I was going though one of the forums and saw a P5 with either stock or 15 inch size rims and thicker sidewall, and it had a nice aggressive look...

Thinking in terms of comfort and pricing, it's probably be a better bet to go with a larger aspect ratio, also, so recently I'm considering going that route. Do you guys suppose that would be cool, or should I stick with 17 inch rims and some low-profile tires?

last summer i was still on stock suspension, but on IKON Karv 17's (+40 offset) with 205/40 series tires. it was nice, but a little too little sidewall for my liking.

this year, i've changed out the suspension - Ion sport springs (approx 1.2" drop), tokico illuminas and racing beat rear sway bar - and have the 03.5 MSP racing harts (either +50 or +55 offset), along with 215/45 series rubber. i MUCH prefer this tire size; looks more aggressive imo and just suits my car. due to the higher offset, i have no rubbing issues either.

as per Rishie's fitment recipe, the biggest thing to keep in mind is your rim offset; all else depends on that (ie, rim size, tire size).
