Suspension Issue (Fixed Under Warrenty)

I heard a loud metallic clanking sound a couple of days ago coming from the drivers side rear wheel, looked underneath the car and the exhaust seemed to be well attached so I took it to the dealership.

Here is what they found/fixed:

Excessive operation noise R0803ARX .030 Road Test Vehicle over bumps and verified customer concern of clunk noise from rear of vehicle. Inspect suspension components and found left rear stabilizer link nut missing and threads stripped. Replaced left rear stabilizer link and nut. Road Test Vehicle and noise no longer present after repair.

Kind of a strange problem. I would guess it wasn't torqued correctly from the factory.

yep. im a victim too. the dealer should take care of you.. before i could figure out what it was, i was driving like this (eekdance) ... all scared n shiet b/c i thought the whole damn rear end was going to fall apart.

My right rear was loose but I found it myself before the nut backed out and messed up the threads. I red loctited it and tightened it back up then had the dealer inspect it for damage.

Mine has been fine and no issues since but if you drive long enough on it the bolt sags and the sway bar eats up the bolt threads.

Must be a stupid machine not putting those nuts on because there are several of us with that same issue.

my cuz is a mechanic and was able to tighten to bolt.. but to my surprise, the bolt kept coming loose. after taking it to the dealership, they said they replace the unit (nut and bolt i guess) as it was defective. all good since..

everytime i get the chance, i make sure to look under. i dont trust it for some reason....

I got the same before winter laster year, also got fixed at rear right side

One thing to notice about tightening it is that on the back side of the bolt is a allen head so that you can lock it down as you thread the nut back on. I didnt see this until after I tightened mine up real good but if it slips on you then that is one other way to get on it good.

When the tech looked up the specs on it the nut only called for about 40lbs torque and I know I wrenched that biatch on tighter then that wit red loctite so perhaps the allen side of the bolt is better left not being held.

I had the same problem fixed on my 07. Is this common on 07's?

when I put my springs on, this came loose shortly after. Thankfull I check it out quick enough, the nut was just barely hanging on lol.
