Summers coming....good time to buy winter rubber

Just a quick question regarding the 18' 2007 speed3 rims. I'm looking at buying some winter rubber soon (get it out of the way now) and was wondering if I can go with a smaller size for the 18 for better traction, or am I stuck going with the standard 215/45 18. And I know I can run 17's, but I've got an extra set of rims I run for summer and the regular rims can now be used for winter. Thanks guys.

Well the next size you would go -1 would be 205's but I would suggest that you stick with the stock size, cuz dedicated winters wouldn't matter that much between a 205 to 215 unless your going to be going through some serious amounts of powder all the time.

+1 for this. I use the stock tire size on 18x8 wheels.

A lot of the tire manufacturers will have rebates on winter tires in September - October, you might actually be better off holding out for a while.
