Mazda MP3 (Blue Mica)
Hello Fellow Quebecers,

Anyone know where I could get some good inexpensive tires for my Mazda MP3??

thanks!!

check for a set of marchall matrac
they have a good grip and they are
inexpensive. i ran this in 205/45/16
on my last car and i love it.
i don't know if they make in
your size but try to find a set. (burnout)

I just bought a set of Kumho Ecsta 711, and they seem to be pretty good, so far (even if it's still freezing). They are inexpensive too!

Check out www.kumhousa.com

I just bought Yokohama ES100 for the MP3
I stay with the original size 205 45 17 and it cost me 210 each, tax in, installed and balanced in FCP tires and mags.

Kumho 712 is another good choice too, and less expensive than the ES100.

The Kumho 711's in 195/50-16 cost me $540 all included (for four).

I know $205 each tire is the norm...but I am trying to see if I could save some extra bucks since I just bought a house 6 months and there are A LOT of renovations to do. :)

Anyone ever hear of tires called Marshal Matrac?? I know a guy that can sell me those tires (205/45ZR17) for $550. Supposedly, he has installed them on many cars...including WRX...Integras...etc...

There is a guy who wrote about those tires in this thread. Msp-titanium is his name, unless you've talked to him, I don't know anyone... sorry

Are you looking for a summer only tire or would an all season be ok?
In all season the Toyo Proxes 4 looks interesting or the Falken ZE-512.

For summer only, the Kumho 712 looks like a good bet and won't cost too much.

As for a good place to buy tires, if you are willing to buy online check out http://www.1010tires.com or http://www.tiretrends.com/

i ran a set of kumho too and i liked it but
i prefered the tread of the marchall for the grip
it feel the same thing
i ran the kumho in 205/50/15
and the marchall in 205/45/16
both have really good grip in water (wrc)

I ended up buying Yokohoma A520s...BEAUTIFUL TIRES...Supposedly they wear fast but it's TOTALLY worth it....those tires stick!!! I bought them at FCP...$155 a tire (taxes and balancing included)...

Thanks again for all your help guys/gals!!!

I had A520's on my old 1990 Civic Si and they were INCREDIBLE (185/60-14)! But on my 2000 Civic EX (185/65-14) they were so noisy I took them off the car after a month. They generated a high pitch noise that just got on my nerves. I hope this won't be the case with your size.

Yes I'm still talking about tires...LOL! My experience was that the two TIRE sizes I used made a different noise, one was ok the other VERY annoying, and both were A520's.

And yes they stick like fly paper on the road, but boy do they wear fast...
