I was considering the mouldings but vehicle is leased and don't know if it's a keeper after the lease or not. Good to consider. Do you have pics of your mouldingless 5?

(cheers)

I would also like to see picts w/o the mouldings.

And if your car is leased - wanna sell you RX wheels? I've been looking for quite a while now. Looking either for MS3 or RX8's (yippy)

Jet -

What size tires on your RX8's?

I just got my RX8's wrapped in 225/40R18 and I think they are too skinny. When you take the wheel off and set it on the ground, the inside of the wheel hits the ground, not the tire -and I'd assume the same for the outside of the rim though that would be dumb to put them face down (uhm).

Next time I'll look more into 235/40 or 225/45. I just need to watch the potential for rubbing as I'm 1" lowered w/ MS3 springs.

TIA.

The tires are 235/40 but the fronts are Falkens Ziex 512 and the backs are Yoko es100. If you are dropping I would stay 225 though as my wife "God love her" has found a way to hit the fender lip in the rear and I am not lowered but my fenders are not rolled either. She swears it was a huge bump. LOL. If you are rolling the fenders you should be might be ok in the rear with 235 but the fronts might be an issue depending on tire manufacturer. I have yet to put my Yoko's on the front as they are looking a little wider than the Falkens even though they are both 235's.

Looking at the tires as well you can see a difference in the width of the tire as many manufacturers have different width even though they say the same width. The yokos in the rear are definitely a little wider as the shoulders are wider. If I get a chance I will snap a pic and you can be the judge.

I had 225/45 last few years and they do look a little skinny on the rim but I never had any problem with the rim touching when laid flat either way and they were Michelin Pilot Sports off a G35.

Actually looking at the pics posted here now the rears look square compared to the front.

Yeap - if and when I get new tires, I'll try to work a deal to test fit the tires first before I commit to a purchase. If they rub, I'll need to swap out.

Square vs. rounded - I'll need every millimeter I can get even after I'm rolled to increase clearance.
thanks.
