so i have stock everything and just got 17" wheels. im not sure how much to lower it i dont want to order springs that are to low or dont work with stock struts.
what do you guys suggest for ride height

Well I just put on 17" rims and went with the eibach prokit.it's a nice drop.Just don't go with 215 45 17 tires it's a nightmare LOL

ahh maybe not nightmare.LOL.The fit is tight man.I tried Nexen n3000 tires and with stock suspension I was rubbing on dips in the road (not much just skinning the edge maybe .010" )now that I lowered it I don't want to deal with any rubbing or rolling the fenders. Oh by the way the offset I got is 45mm.I've heard some go with 48mm offset no probs.Any ways this was my experience and reading it back it doesn't really sound like a very scary nightmare does it?:)

fender rollage ftw

Nexen N3000's are the worst tires out there...
Hmmm, had 2 sets, got 35k from them with no hydroplaning even down close to bald, cost about half as much as anything else that's 340 treadwear AA traction A temp all season. Got another set for 210 dropped on front porch which'll end up being under 300 mounted & balanced. Had no issues whatsoever on daily driver. Might not be a great race tire I guess. What problems did you experience?

W rated.....

Do you plan on getting a bodykit later or have difficult places to drive? Your best bet would be coilovers either be sleeve or full suspension depends on your budget and what your looking for. I do recommend Tein Super Street coilovers for being a well round set up! If you plan to go mild on the set up I do recommned Eibach's and Tokico Blues. But my first set up was Skunk2 coilovers sleeves with stock struts slammed and it was bouncy!

My Tein SS is all the way down with 17's and a MB kit=)

45 tire height is too high...shoulda got 40s.....
16s=50
17s=40
18s=30

Any drop is gonna stress the OEM struts...best advice is to replace both at once with Tokico HPs....I believe the smallest drop springs are the S-tech at like 1.3" and the most are usually 2"...with 2" drop you'd want the Tokico Illuminas tho....

Best daily driver combo = Espelirs and Tokico Blues

Yeah I'd like to know what probs you had with the nexen's cause the only problem I had was the tire was too big for me. I sold them and bought falken 452's 205 40 17 but I'd definately buy nexen again for a decent economical tire.

^^^^I'm running the 205/40/17 N3000s, they are like 215/40/17s compared to the last 205/40/17s I had. More comfortable too. Rims are 45 offset pretty sure & no rub at all with 1.3 drop & illuminas even fully loaded with gear/people.

alright thanks so if i was to get just springs with oem struts i would have problems like rubing? if i get new struts and springs like the hp's would my tires rub or anything?
i dont got alot experience with suspension.
and is 450 a good price for the tokico hp setup

thanks for help

I don't know for sure with the rubbing but I would say as long as your oem struts are still in good shape a good lowering spring tein,eibach...etc. you should be fine. and I just paid 400 ( before taxes) for the tokico hp. You will have more concerns with the rubbing depending on the offset of your wheel but I think the tire you have is close to stock size but 10mm wider?
