Subzero's Mazda 2 build thread

I've been a long time lurker of this forum, I thought it would be time to get a thread going to track the progress on my car. I've posted some pictures here and there already, so pardon if they seem redundant, but I though regrouping everything into a single thread would be best.

I picked the car up in August 2011, GX + premium package with automashit gearbox (a true DD lol).

When I first got it:

I drove it bone st0ck through winter, trying to plan my spring mods. When all the parts came in, I quickly realized how weird the front design of this car is. I've never owned a car with such different front and rear offset capabilities.

Really too bad since the rear looked great! (not lowered on pic)

A little frustrated, I put her back on stockers in search of a temporary wheel setup that I could stand.

Finally found a set of ridiculously low priced 3 piece Advan Evo RS's, 16x7 +38. I just couldn't say no. The result isn't too bad.

Since taking the picture, I've lowered the front (Front was on 205/45's that rubbed, since changed to 195/45's) a tad and removed the rear locking rings. Unfortunately it won't go any lower in the rear (working on this issue atm).

Upcoming plans:
- Stubby antenna
- New wheels
- Tints
- Lower somehow

Longterm plans:
- 3d carbon kit
- New front seats

What were the specs on the first wheels you tried?

The XXR's were 17x8.25 +25 all around. The rear would tuck with a slight fender roll and the front, well the pictures speak for themselves lol.
