subaru's answer to the evo IX SE

Wow they did an excellent job. I would buy that and slap the 02-03 taillights and rear bumper on it and call it a day.

It really looks a LOT better without the spoiler. The new front end just isn't agressive enough to have that monstrous wing on it.

understated FTW!

i like it better than the regular STI as well. but the front end is still hurtin'.

i'm sure almost any dealer in the country would swap trunks with a regular wrx for you if you wanted no spoiler. i know when i was looking i spoke to the salesman about how ugly it was with the wing and how it looked way better without one and he said it would be no problem to switch

I have more pics of this from the NY auto show that I'll upload when I retrieve them from my camera.

You obviously haven't been in an 06 STi.

Actually I have,I WAS thinking about getting a WRX TR and when I went to a local dealership, they had the STI there, and honestly, the interior was very bland to me.IMO,I think our Protege's interior looks better than Subaru's interior.I mean if your gonna pay that much for a car,it's gotta look good on the inside as well as the outside.

My .02 cents

certified pre-owned, same price range as the STI, only faster and ten times more refined.

I agree. I appraised an 06 STi that the guy was trading in for an 3 GT. It had 1200 miles on it and rattled more than my MSP at 40k. Not that the MSP is the touchstone of quality, but I was expecting a little more from Subaru.

yeah, the interior of the subie's is what changes my mind all the time. I just can't drive something that looks cheap on the inside. IT is afterall what I will be looking at most of the time.
