Frankly this car irritates the piss out of me . Never once before in my life have i popped straight out of bed every morning looking forward to the drive to work . Sometimes i hit the snooze bar a couple times in anticipation of zooming to work a little quicker . Seems like i'm not getting as much sleep as I used to get . To top it off I'm going to have to go buy a nice radar detector despite my use of discretion on the freeway while passing sometimes she gets away from me and i'm doing 90 within seconds .

Didn't Mazda actually start the whole variable valve timing thing with the rotory ? Seems like I read somewhere that the 13b at higher RPM's the engine opens additional exhaust ports to increase power output....

Sounds like stolen technology to me....

I had some guy in a big Ford pickup spit on my friend's CRX SI a few weeks ago and call him a ricer and drive off. It was probably someone on here..

Comments like the one I bolded are why I think you just posted in this thread to stir stuff up. Granted you're free to post whatever the heck you want but contrary to your assumptions, I'm sure 99% of people in this forum who own an MS3 bought one because they loved it not because of a magazine review. The fact that it spanks the competiton, Honda Civic Si included and cars costing much more is just icing on the cake.

So let then have their fun and let's all move on.

Well if I'm going to be blatantly painted as stirring s*** up, I might as well, eh? No car can ever spank another car, because there is MORE to a car than performance performance performance. Each person buys a car for a different reason. Case in point...

Well just got home with my new silver Si Sedan. I will get some pictures up tomorrow. Test drove GTi and Speed3 as well as some others and just liked the overall package of the Si the best.

See how he likes the SI better than the MS3 and the GTI? Well it's exactly how you like the MS3 more than the SI. It's ALL preference - and quite frankly, it's annoying how you think just because a magazine says your car is the best, you think that. Anyone who buys an MS3 laughs at the weak power the SI is putting out, and anyone who buys an SI laughs at the fact that the MS3 dies up top. See the trade-offs? Maybe you guys should grow up a little... Don't bother replying, as I'm done! It's like talking to a machine, you guys will never relent on EVER conceding that there are other cars out there that compete with the MS3. I'm sorry you guys feel that way..

Oh I think I will reply. My english teacher did say I always had to have the last word. Growing up has got nothing to do with it. You come in MAZDA forum and criticize MS3 owner for *gasp* actually liking their cars and act all hurt when someone takes you to task. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

There are several cars that compete with the MS3, just none that IMHO are a better value for the money.

The MS3's main weakness IMHO is it's styling. I like hatches but the MS3 is not my fave design. I much prefer the looks of the GTI. But the GTI is far slower. The Civic SI is a great machine but once again lacking in the motor dept and arguably not as good a drivers car as the MS3 is.

There are certainly far better cars than the MS3 but overall, its something special. Not to everyone, but to those in the know.

Dude you're back again with that same tired old crap? This is a Mazda forum and yes most on here would agree the ms3>SI in almost every way. Back on the honduh forum it might be the opposite. What's the big surprise here? IMO only a noob needs a high revline, we've been through that before. Race me and I'll be ahead of you all the way and I wouldn't even touch 6000 rpms. Why? No need to. Again Ms3>SI over here and that won't change, ever. I don't care if you mod your SI to 1000hp, it won't matter: MS3>SI over, over and over. You bought the wrong car, we know, no need to come in here and start sh*t everytime the ms3 gets praised. We love our cars and enjoy the press it's been getting lately that's all.
