Subaru owners sure dislike the CX-7

if a punk in a WRX STI knew u were gonna "rocket off the line", he would smoke us to 60 and beyond. i'm done w/ this post. i don't even know how it was started. guys in STI's, that are into them, would laugh at this. yes the CX is quick but it ends there...
for some reason though, since i put the turbo emblem on the back, i constantly have dorks pulling next to me at lights and while driving, looking to race. i only took 2 of them on, a mustang, don't know what kind, it was dark and he was left behind. it was a new body style though. also a grand prix which burnt out at light, and i let him get ahead, then passed him slowly. i wouldn't even attempt to race an STI, well maybe just to see him go silly...!

Subaru sells a WRX and a WRX STI two seperate TOTALLY different cars -------- see subaru.com ----------------- I had a 04 WRX not a STI it was a dog stock I tried to upgrade would of been cheaper to get the STI Now I have a CX-7

NASIOC used to be a cool place, until the wankers took over. you'll notice that an increase in member number directly correlates with a decrease in post courtesy/intelligence. now it's like clubsi.com for subarus. i used to be a newbie there with a number just over 10,000...there are over 100,000 more people on there now, and most of them are idiots.

don't ever suggest that subarus aren't teh fastArest cars evAr, or that any other car could possibly have any merit whatsoever.

I'm a 7 year member of clubsi, so I take offense to that. Nothing wrong there, just don't poke your head into OT unless you have a flame suit on.

not that i'm defending nasioc, but a lot of attitude i see is the opposite. some guru sees a member number in over 100k and treats him like s*** based on that alone. true, there are your countless bov/intake threads started daily, but at least they keep it in the newbie forum. handsdown and uncle scotty are some of the most bitter posters there. most of what they say is the same "do a search and DIAF." that's the welcoming attitude that i love about nasioc. and don't get me started on the "OT gang." they must all be 16 years old.

I choose the CX 7 due to price and more internal room.

The WRX was lighter, quicker and handled better though...

I hate it when my logic forces me to choose the car that better fits my needs over my imature desires...

Having said that I am very happy with my choice...

I really hate childish behavior in general.... That includes brand snobbery I have encounted on Acura sites etc...

I would not stay in those forums even if I owned one of those cars...

I do not need to dual with 18 year old know it alls when in fact they know very little except what other 18 year olds have told them...

I have better things to do with my time.

9hooker, sorry to offend you, but i picked the first "mostly fanboy" site i could think of. i'm sure there are good people on there (like on every board), but unfortunately, the lowest common denominator tends to prevail, and everything eventually ends up crappy.

yeah, those two need to cool off. it's a frickin' internet board, after all.

however, there is (was) something to be said for "older" members "educating" n00bs on how things run. it worked well until those "older" (and IMO, pretty knowledgeable and reasonable) folks were overwhelmed with 18-yo STI drivers and hangers-on.

i used to be in the OT gang!...then life got in the way. dunno who you're talking about, but most of 'em were alright back when.

not offended at all! the younger gen still tends to do stuff AFU (all farked up). I came here to get good information on the CX-7 and to help people avoid making gruesome mistakes (like the lambo doors I saw on a protege in this forum)

We went and test drove the Benign Tribeca...... nice inside but totally gutles, and 8 grand more than a fully loaded Cx-7.

The WRX is a inexpensive starter car. Lot of mods, ect. I quit posting on nasioc just because of the inmaturity...

I honestly don't think they'll put a diesel in it, but who knows. The main selling point of the car here is the 2.3DISI Turbo engine.

I wish they sold a diesel one here though!
