Sub recommendation please

I'd like to get a budget sub that will work well with the power put out by this amp. Supposedly, bridging it will be 225w but I'd bet 150 is realistic?

I'd use the front two channels to power comps and bridge the rear to power one sub. I was thinking an 8" in a sealed fiberglass driver side box, or even passenger side removable box (as seen in the how to section).
I wonder if a 10" wouldn't be a little better? I know the air volume is limited.

I use the rear so I don't want to lose space.

I listen to hiphop, reggae, rock and like SQ as well as being able to crank the bass and feel it. I'm not looking for something everyone else can hear, but like the music full and bangin when I want it to. Of course... I'm on a budget too. ;)

I have a nice Mb Quart 10" sub the can fit into very small enclosure. It is brand new, never powered or put into a box. The rms rating is 250 and peak power rating is 400.

$50

Looks interesting. Not sure If I have enough power for that. I'll mave 200 max rms to one sub in a small sealed box or enclosed in fiberglass with about .5 to .7 ft sealed space, or whatever people are getting on average. I can make the enclosure "bump out" slightly at the top to add a little more volume or something.

Anyone find anything on cardomain I can look into?
I came across these options:

http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCP1S410
Size: 10 inch
http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXT451004 but this has a narrower sound range
OR for the 8" options which look like they may accomodate a really stealth install better:

http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXT550844
Size: 8 inch
Rec. Sealed Box Dims: 0.50 - 0.50 cu. ft.
Rec. Ported Box Dims: 0.75 - 0.75 cu. ft.
Free Air Usage: yes
Sensitivity: 91.4 dB
Frequency Response: 42-150 Hz
Recommended RMS Power: 200W
Peak Power Handling: 400W
Impedance: dual 4 ohms su

I have never really purchased a decent system in any of my cars before and was wondering if anyone thought this might be overkill or whatever for my new MS3...

Amp: JBL Grand Touring Series GTO301.1 - amplifier (300 Watts)

Speaker: JBL 12" of the same series.

Fit: A smaller box that won't take up much room in my trunk.

A local place here in Tampa says they can do it for $420 installed.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

EDIT: Since someone pointed out that the stock head unit has a replacable amp, should I pump up the power to the stock Bose speakers while I am at it? I want quality over quantity....

TIA.

I don;t have that kind of power from the amp nor the money for that sub. Not everyone wants to go with "Unique autosports" style with full JL setup.
;)

Anyhow, I found an ok deal on a Sony 8" sub with 220rms and had some good reviews, so it is a good start and the specs match up nicely.
The 8" will allow me to keep as much space as possible in the car.

I doubt you will be happy with a single 8".
Damn near no one ever is. I had one directly behind me in my truck just sitting on the floor and its tough to even know its there.
Also I would suggest against sony.
Check out RE audio, Tangband, JL, Polk, alpine, Rockford.

The power difference between 250 watts rms and 200 would not be noticeable to any person on the planet.

Too late. ;)
The good thing is that if I don't like it I can get another 8" or get a 10".
most of the subs in my small price range were 150 rms max. I didn't want to mismatch it too much as I don't know much about this stuff.
I want to save space so we'll see how it goes. It should easily fit behind the baby stroller  until I get a fiberglass mold done for the side.
