SU diff mount vs CPE vs stocker

should i do new bushing in my stock diff mount... or buy one... i am leaning towards CPE... simply cuz i dont like the way street unit went about advertising theirs...

see the attached timeslip directly off the SU site

check out the drag strip time slip... now one could say... HOLY CHEEZBURGERS batman... did BILLY really get a half second quicker on the juice with that mount?! by gosh that thing makes more diff than replacing the whole cold side of the factory intake...hmmmm

well if i am not mistaken... and i believe i am not... that second launch has a reaction time of -.111 vs the .3 of the first one... giving whoever launched their ms6 a .4 sec head start... which makes the time slip worthless cuz looking at .1 sec... id need to see several slips to believe there is a consistent .1sec gain

now i like SU... but i dont like being tricked... and i feel almost like being tricked here.... don't get me wrong i just ordered their shifter bushings and the things came in like 1 day(although im on backorder for the AWR from mounts with no shipping date in sight) and i love em, went right in

and im sure their mount is a good product... but the reason i like CPE so much is cuz they got dynos on every page and a huge writeup... i like to be an educated consumer, and i honestly didnt know what RTs were till this pic on the SU page making the claim of .5 second gain on launch with their diff mount...

i dunno... but does anyone else feel me on this? something don't seem right... i think SU should take down the pic... or have a more controlled test cuz I am quite curious to know the exact effects of a new mount(i got the CPE bottom motor mount and that was the easies/sexiest mod ever... cuz now it reminds me of my z28 camaro at idle... luckly only at idle lol)

uhm.. not taboo. idk?

but hard to believe an uprade diff mount would give a .5 second gain.
handles torque better or what.

no I think the claim was really that he could launch more effectively and get better times, not the product gives you better times??.. ive seen both mounts the only diff is the SU uses a stiffer rubber gromet?? quality is tough cuz theyre both much heavier than stock.. but, the SU is cheaper.. so id say **** the claims.. its total BS.. theres no way to really "performance test" this product anyway.. its just an upgraded mount for heavier duty.. its your basic buy or dont.. and i did!!

word ye, i mean i dont really expect to gain any numbers differance... but i would think handling could improve from lack of that whip to the diff when you drop the clutch esp if ur running higher boost so more hp.

anyways yes SUs is cheaper... but i dont like how they hardly keep any of their own products in stock, i still have yet to recieve the awr front links i ordered like 2 weeks ago, not their products i know, but i free shipping doesn't help if you item is still Processing, whatever that means... oy

i really hate how hard it is to get the right parts for this car... lots of dealers... but no one carrys any stock

AT what point would you need to upgrade your diff. mount? it seems like its a pain to swap it out, a job i would not want to do, how much would it cost to get it installed?

ok just to be clear... ive bought s*** loads from SU and the AWR parts all ship direct from AWR (Ive bought 4 pieces so far).. so just so you know SU is not lagging.. its AWR.. and the endlinks suck anyways so skip em!! the bolts on the front are too short for safe useage!! and the rears are just a box of pieces and a total b**** to install..

as for the rear diff the install is about 8 hours total for someone who knows how.. so at a mechanic it would be $500+ and its mostly for hardcore guys with big turbos etc.. so for the avg guy you could skip it..

I dont think reaction has anything to to with the run. The clock starts when you cross the line. And reaction starts when the light changes till you cross the line. They are trying to show you get better launches(60 foot times). Also I've heard of people breaking the mount just from launching to hard. Mazda has a upgraded one for people who would break theirs under warr. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

RT has nothing to do with ET..

Mazda doesn't have an upgraded diff mount, the production mount was revised early on, I have never seen a car with the supposedly weaker OEM mount--even mine had the revised part and it was assembled in Oct of 05..

I now have the TT front diff Mount and the CP-E rear diff mount and couldn't be happier with the performance... Replacing a rear axle is much cheaper than replacing the rear diff.
