I've recently installed a FMIC (took off the grates on the front bumper so it shows) also I installed a CAI, I normally goto a local car wash and powerwash it, I was just making sure it was okay to do so after the installs. ( I get nervous people telling me ill hydrolock my car ect if i go through puddles) lol

could not resist...

srsly, you should be alright washing your MSP w/the CAI as long as you do not spray water into the intake while she's running or drive over standing water more than a couple of inches deep. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken please.

The absolute worst thing that could happen when washing your car is that the filter gets wet or you spray some water into the intake tube, and it gets the MAFS wet... which can cause the car to idle poorly until things dry out.

There is just no way for you to get enough water collected in the intake--and then get all that water into the motor fast enough when you fire it up--to even worry about hydrolock.

Pressure wash my engine all the time. Never had any problems with it or the Injen getting wet. Just make sure you stay out of deep pools of water and that your splash guard is fully intact and you'll avoid sucking up water.

Why don't you hand wash your car? I do that all the time and it looks better than taking it to a place to wash it there.
