Stupid engine light..help

Hi guys, wondering if anyone has had this problem. Bought my RX8 in Oct 04, never had a problem with it. Last night drove on the freeway, came home, after about 2 hours started it up to go somewhere and the check engine light stayed on. Called the dealer and they told me unless it's flashing it's fine to drive and that the "light should go off in a couple of days." WTF?? I'm really pissed and wondering if I should call and give them an earful. Anyone else run into this prob?

LOL, that must be the easiest fix ever but with the most amount of complications to arise.

I called back and explained my situation to the service manager. He set an appointment for me tomorrow morning, earliest available. Funny, when you explain it's an RX8, they want to kiss your ass.

I seriously cannot believe the first time I called the dude told me to wait up to 7 days.
