Stuff in gauge cluster - how to get it out? (Pics)

Driving home from work today I noticed there were some specs of glitter or dust inside the gauge cluster. I'm a 100% sure they are in the fuel gauge pod and not on the outside surface. The other two pods are clear. I have no idea how they got in there - maybe the previous owner opened up the cluster for some reason. Anyways, I know this is anal and most people could care less. Now that I know these specs are in there, it's gonna drive me crazy. Are these gauge clusters easy to open up? If it's too complicated and opening them up will just make it worse, then I'll just live with it. Just wondering if anyone has opened it up for any reason. Thanks for any help.

Three specs have settled to the bottom:
