I've been thinking about an HID kit but it seems like everyone I know who has an aftermarket kit blinds other drivers and they flash their lights at them? What would be a safe wattage to buy?

just make sure you get a kit that has a shield under the bulb and you'll be fine. if you look at my headlights, light actually only comes out the top half of the reflector.

also the shields have a hole in them, block it with alumnium foil.

Thanks for the link. I'd definitely prefer to buy from someone on here rather than "supervtec". I heard that with the HID lights, you lose dual-beam functionality (high/low beam). Is that true?

not if you get the Bi-Xenon

there are also setups with a HID low beam and a halogen high beam... but personally I believe they're a waste of energy.
