Stuff I found on eBay or Craigslist Today (NOT FOR PERSONAL SALES)

Does anybody know if these will fit on my Protege5? I was looking at the Racing Beat springs as they're not too much of a drop, and I just bought OEM replacement struts (KYB GR-2).

Also, will the sway bars work on my car? Thanks in advance! ~Pat

Yes, the sway bars will fit a P5. As for the springs it is not good to put sedan springs on a wagon since a wagon has more weight in the back. They will fit a P5 but you will see a difference in the gap between front and back. I could be wrong about the springs but that is what I have seen and been told.

your right about the weight in the back being heavier but most places have the same suspension part numbers for the pro5 and sedan models

Yah, I thought I remember seeing someone on here that put racing hart springs from a MSP on his P5 and seeing a horrible gap difference between the front and back. But like I said I could be wrong. (shrug)

Yep, the gap is noticeable on the sedan struts. It might be worse than this:

As long as you utilizes the Tokico Blues with the Racing Beat spring then it should be fine. The gap is there, but not that bad - just like it is on the MSP.

Actually, the Tokico HPs are different than the MP3/MSP stock struts (the perch is different on the rears). If you really want to run MP3/MSP RB springs and not have an uneven gap, you need the MP3/MSP struts.

Unless you are talking about the Racing Beat springs and not the MP3/MSP RB springs, I believe they work okay with the HPs. It's kind of confusing as Mazda had Racing Beat make prototype springs for the MP3, then made the stock springs themselves with a slightly different design.

I just bought all new KYB GR-2 Struts... OEM replacements so I need close to stock springs.

No? It seems thats what I've been reading I should do if I don't want to overload my struts and have them wear out prematurely. Any opinions?

Yes, if the struts are only ment for stock ride height then yes you will need a stock style sping. I think your better off though just to stick with your stock springs, the racing beat springs only lower the P5's about 3/4". Hardly noticable. But like we said you will have a wierd wheel gap in the rear if you do use those. If you really want to lower your car then sell your KYB struts, get some Tokico's, and find a good lowering spring you like. Although I have been using stock struts with my Espiler springs for about a year now and my struts are still ok.

Yea, I researched them and the Racing Beat springs were the only ones that work efficiently, but now that I saw that gap I don't want to use those. Anybody wanna buy struts? haha

u can get some evotion springs...as long as the springs arnt too harsh, u can use em.

Just picked up some HKS SF5 Springs. Similar to the Evotion springs, and not too much of a drop. I may sell the KYB GR-2's and pick up Tokico's.
