not my fault.....this lady turned into me ...ANYWAYZ

i got one question....after the accident i was kind of still in shock and the towing ppl towed my ride however not on a bed. I told them it needs a flat bed but they said it will be fine and they just put it in neutral. Since i was still talkin to cops and trying to get a hold of my parents they took the car. What kind of damage could occur during towing on a regular towing truck.

your rear diff and possibly the transfer case are pretty much destroyed if they towed it using a "regular" tow truck. which they did looking at the pictures you posted. and it also looks like they did not use any wheel dollys for the rears so yeah your insurance might just total it out.

Have it taken and repaired at a Mazda dealer, and make sure that they investigate the drivetrain thoroughly and factor that into repair costs. I think your diffs are toast.

hmmmm well it all depends on how bad the messed up the drive train and all other things.......the body damage and everything is not enough to make the car salvage title however if the trans or anything els is damaged than idk...maybe

Good luck with that. The towtruck driver probably just assumed it was a normal FWD 6. Idiot. I agree with the previous posts. Unless they used wheel dollys, your x-fer case is probably toast.

Please offer congratulations to the towing company for being completely effing retarded.

some more updates......and @sharky....i told them about awd....but they were like oh its not a problem we are just gonna put it in neutral....and with everything going on (cops, ambulance, and b.s) i didint really care....but my mechanic took a picture when they came to his place that they didint have any dollies on the back wheels so if anything is wrong im having my insurance talk to them.........and im guessing if anything is messed up from drive train is a salvage title

Yea man your book in your MS6 that came with the car made it pretty clear if you tow it ALL 4 WHEELS have to be off the ground period. Theres no other way without damaging your cars AWS system.

I would bet 99 percent that its damaged and need to be replaced as what though Im not sure all the parts invovled. Apparently the guy never towed a AWD vehicle as in full time awd or does not know about it.

Good luck Hope they dont total your car..

I would certainly hope that you go after that towing company for neglect/ignorance. There's a specific part of the owners manual that explains how to properly tow this vehicle.

Exactly. Its important to know this kind of stuff. I mean its too late now but he could of specifically showed the guy the Manual in which case he would have no excuse.

Ouch on both items, the tow truck and the crash. It makes you wonder how many MS6 get towed 2 wheels up and tear up the AWD system. Good business for Mazda, bad news for the car.

i would want them to total my car if that happened to me. After the repairs the car is never going to be the same. i got into a bad wreck with my Altima SE-R and it was never the same. I ended up trading it in (didnt get anything for it while trading it in) for the mazdaspeed6.

Goodluck with everything!

well i told the cop and the cop told him.....but to be honest with u guys.....in my opinion it should be totaled with all the damage on the outside and any damage to the drive train........however if the car is messed up ill just make my insurance sets up a claim with them......oh and by the way my 200 cp-e cia is done :(

Damn that loos ugly! Hope your ok! But id make sure that SOMEONE goes after the tow company. Damn that sucks. Good luck!

it all depends on how the insurance rates the damages to my car.... and it they total it then ill let u guys know where u can get a hold of it.....

well the insurance company estimated the work for 8g......not including any damage to the drive train. my mechanic will fix the car so its just able to drive and then he will check the trans and .....other components that might of been damaged while towing
