Struts on 2009 CX9 GT

Had the oil changed today @ 34.8K and the dealer noticed one of the struts [frt right] was leaking some hydraulic fluid. they used the term "seeping-out" very slowly.

Has anyone had issues with their struts - still under warrantly, but barely - good of them to point it out with less than 1.2K left, then my nickel...

Finally, any reasons or causes to why this would go out so prematurely?

Struts seep oil - sometimes this is a problem, but most of the time it probably isn't. Some mechanics like to point out the oil stains on the struts and imply that you need new ones right away. If the struts still effectively damp out spring oscillations, they probably don't need replacing.

However, if the dealer will replace at no cost to you, go for it.

Since your CX9 is still under warranty, why not ask the dealer to replace it?

If you have to pay for it, I would agree with others here. No need to replace it immediately.
Just check it regularly.
