Strut tower brace?

I got an '09 Speed3 two days ago. I'm trying to figure out why it has no strut tower brace. Seems like it should with all the torque it cranks out.

It actually does, sort of.

There are triangulating braces that tie the tops of the strut towers to the firewall.

These, coupled with the fact that the strut towers on this car are butted up against the firewall as well, make a traditional strut tower brace absolutely unnecessary in my opinion.
