Street Racing Bust Video

A guy was arrested here the other day for racing. He was going 120 mph, got arrested and his car & license seized. I wonder if he thought it was worth it?

damn that was a nicely organized race but unfornitally the bust was nicely arranged too......... that would suck.

I just need to keep that video. I've never scene it before, but I'd heard about it. Amazing, 400 frickin' cars right here in Minneapolis! I'm impressed. And I think Minnesota's tuner scene sucks, I can just imagine what an LA/Houston bust must be like!

When i was in Austin, TX the scene looked rediculous crazy big...so much bigger than chicago

Anyone notice the titanium MSP right in front here when he's talking about whats going to happen to everyone? Sucks to be that kid.

including their heads (smash)

anyway, who the hell started that saying? its the dumbest s*** ever. its like, "oh, its the biggest state, therefore everything is bigger in texas." BS. im starting a new phrase, "everything is cooler in ILLINOIS." no reason, its just cooler because i say it is.

btw, around here you cant do anything remotely close to street racing or they take everything from you. ive heard of people accelerating from a stop light and just because there was a car next to them they got busted for street racing. it doesnt bother me though since im not stupid enough to do that. i realize it ISNT worth it.

did anyone notice the MSP at 4:00, titanium grey

Read the thread there knucklehead.. thats what they've already pointed out. lol

Here's the definition and penalties by NC law: (knowledge is power)

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle on a street or highway willfuly in prearranged speed competition with another motor vehicle. Any person violation the provisions of this shall be guilty of a Class 1 Misdemeanor. It is also unlawful for any person to authorize or knowingly permit a motor vehicle owned by him or under his control to be operated on a public street, highway or thoroughfare in a prearranged speed competition with another motor vehicle, or to place or receive any bet, wager, or other thing of value from the outcome of such competition.

The penalties for violations of this law shall be to revoke the drivers licnese or privilege to drive of every person convicted of violating the provisions set forth. This revocation will be for no less than 1 year and not to exceed 3 years. Any law enforcement officer that that discovers that any person has operated or is operating a vehicle willfully in prearranged speed competition with another vehicle shall arrest at his discretion and seize the motor vehicle and deliver same to the sheriff's office in which the offense occurred. Upon conviction of the operator of said motor vehicle, the court shall order a sale at public auction. Any profit made by the sale will be disbursed by deducting the expenses of storage, costs of the sale, paying all leins and fines and will be used for the school fund of the county.

There are other provisions and clauses, but they are way to lengthy to put them all on here. But I think it's important to let you guys know what you face in case you think about racing on the streets. Just know the basics a) you can be arrested b) license taken away for 1-3 years c) your vehicle may be sold at auction.

It's funny because it also has stipulations about after market parts that increase speed. If your car is unable to go back to stock due to extensive modding, they can actually keep the car with all the mods and use it for the performance of official duties. IE Corvettes that I've seen on the road by law enforcement personell. You know we dont have that kind of money to spend.... but at least you know where they got them from. lol

haha, texas ISN'T the largest state. the saying comes from the texas attitude, "we're the best and we'll kick your ass" its just how it is...

anyways, the scene in Houston is ginormus.

Who? Link to thread?

It wasnt a Mazda person or on any thread. It was a guy that was brought in by another officer to the station late the other night. It happens more often than that, but not someone who's usually going 120.
